Is it worth doing the new mvm tours just to get valuable items? are most killstreak kits even worth that much?

well? can you actually make a bunch by doing the new mvm tours and selling killstreaks? are a lot of them worth a bunch or not? what about other rewards?

You need to complete all 4 tours before you can get the Killstreak stuff, and the parts you get go for about 1 Scrap each. But of course if you get an AUS weapon, or a Golden frying pan, then you are getting extreme profit

I have multiple friends who've told me MVM is profitable. Not just luck, at least five of my close buddies who do MVM told me its like farming, you always make profit. In my own experience, its not all that bad.

mission =! tour

4 missions = tour

either way, I've done 11 tours so far and I've made a total of around 3 buds out of it. perhaps I just got lucky but whateves

it is indeed easily profitable, even the crappiest loot of all would yield at the very least 4 ref or so, but your chances of obtaining items worth at least 2 keys (price/tour, assuming you pay 1 key per 2 tickets) is quite average. I'd say

how did you do that? did you just sell kill streaks?

If your lucky it can pay off.  I only played 5 tours and I made atleast 3 keys each tour.

I got a few good killstreakers (incluiding professionals) and an australium scatter

if you don't know what to value your loot at, then just use the steam community market as a reference

Meh. I'll just continue skimming profit off of all you mvm players dumping parts/fabs on the market cheap just to continue trying for australium weapons and such.

I've play 13 tours (52 missions), and at first I was profitting, but I lost count and now I just hope I am, though I have a feeling I might be losing a little. It all breaks even if you find a good fabricator or australium weapon. Also each tour automatically pays for at least 2-3 of the tickets just because of all the items you get.

Id say yes. I've done 7.5 tours and have more than made my money back since I've been dropped 2 desirable pro fabricators, with the worst one being worth minimum 30 USD. There is a chance you might not break even (basically would have to get no pristines, a maul/apoco fist kit, and only a spec for a weapon nobody uses like axe or maul). The likelyhood that all 3 things happen at the end of a tour aren't very likely. You usually get a basic kit that covers the cost of 1 ticket (2-3 if its one of the few worth a key), and even with a crap fabricator the parts you'll get will cover the cost of the other tickets.

So I am on tour 28 so I have a good perspective on this. I haven't bought tod tix with my own money since the first batch when I bought 8-10. At a minimum, after each tour, I get a specialized killstreak fab, which I fill out into a kit with all the robo parts and sell for a minimum of $3.50-$4.00 on the steam market. So on a plus side, u get better rare drops over time, I have had 1 Aussie wep so far, a mini gun, which I sold for 50 keys. Also, I had three professional fab drops as well, and for very desirable weps, sniper rifle, huntsman and brass beast. Sold the sniper fab for 1.5 buds and the others on the market for $10 and $30.

So now after 28 tours, I have $30 in steam wallet money, using that to buy new tod tix when I need them, bought 3 new unusuals (starting a searing plasma collection), have about 10-12 specialized fabs that I am completing to sell on the market again for around $4 each, and a professional crusaders crossbow I almost have finished which goes for $10+. I honestly play nothing else, I just MvM.

i'm at my 41 tour and got 0 Australiums. One of my best buddies is on tour 60, another one at tour 22. Both got 0 Australiums. My pro kits so far: Direct hit (decent), Overdose, Gloves or Running, L'etranger, Bonesaw, Backburner (less worth than you think). I'm at minues ~5€ now. You can get 4 ToDs after selling the spec. fab you get each Tour most of the time but not always.

And the price for spec. fabs is dropping like hell. You used to get >4.5€ for mid tier spec. fabs but now it's only 3-3.3€.

So....Go for it if you like MvM but don't do it if you just want to make profit. You can make more profit if you spend the time you need to complete a tour (3-7 hours depending on your team) to trade.

If you start to play MvM...please either read some guides or do some bootcamp missions. It's so annoying to carry people just because they are too lazy to read a guide. And get the important items for every class before you join a match. Stuff like: Kritzkrieg, Ubersaw, Buff Banner, Mad Milk, Fan O'War, (Rescue Ranger), Wrangler/Short Circuit, (Brass Beast). They are only a few scraps on scrap.tf.

Hit me up if you have any questions about the meta or if you need someone to play. I'm doing 2-6 missions each day.
