Idk why valve is yet doing another atupid rule.if violence with blood and gore is allowed on certain where kids even play and other games have sex scenes like god of war,why even ban anime sexual content?not even sex scene.what do you think?

God of war it's an exclusive Sony game, I don't see where's the point of giving us this example. By the way there's nothing explicit on God of War Series.

 

Sony has its own rules like VALVe.

 

If VALVe want to ban anime sex scenes (which I'm not against), there's nothing you can do about that.

Idk about you but god of war does have explicit scenes sure they don't show the actual sex but they do show boobs and other what not ,witcher does show sex scenes tho

Well, seeing Valves recent activity, i feel like they are just doing whatever they want, even if they will lose a lot of money in the process. Makes me wonder if they are just so damn rich, that they dont care about the loss of money, hence doing whatever they wanna do aka VERY stupid things.

This argument is garbage. You are essentially trying to say that all stimuli affect the brain in an equal degree and in the same way. However, if that was to be true, our ancestors would just T-pose all their lives after seeing that countless trees grow in ways similar to that. Yet, they did not do so. That's because the brain attempts to differentiate between what is beneficial and what is not beneficial. I'm not going to explain in detail, but basically blood and gore does not do much expet possibly make people less likely to panic when they see the real thing, while pornographic (this includes softcore pornography) content will make them associate behaviours and stimuli that were included in or lead to obtaining such will be considered beneficial and possibly repeated. This is because different stimuli have different value to our brain, with sexual stimuli being the strongest ones when it comes to promoting repetition of a behaviour. Also, in case you were to argue that violence in video games is rewarded and yet we aren't killing people with cars for fun: our brain is rather precise when it comes to remembering the stimuli. Therefore, instead of associating "shooting at people" with the reward of some kind of item or stats, it will associate "gun", "keyboard", "sitting", "computer" and "M1" with it (exceptions include a small grou of already mentally ill people). And instead of associating "[censored" with the reward of reproduction (the brain percieves all climaxing as reproduction), it will associate "watching people [censored]", which is likely why we have vouyerism.

I get the argument you're making in terms of other forms of media but comparing pictures of 14 yr old cartoon cat girls getting their asses blasted posted on the walls of a free game with no warning about sexual content is different than a sex scene in a $60 game where nudity is in the game's ESRB rating.

But still the argument against it is pointless you want to see porn go to a porn site , you want to see hentai go to a hentai site valve is just doing it for the kids who play on there platform (10 years old) I personally feel valve has taken the right step considering anyone can download a free game without it being known to their parents however with the Witcher 3 they have to ask for permission and parents can investigate into it hence ur argument is again pointless

it still wouldnt make sense at some points.for eg:if they wish to censor sexual content(not sex scene) to prevent young children from seeing these things,why do they allow them to play such violent games showing blood and gore when they are clearly meant for matured kids/adults.parents would still go against with their non-censor for the gorey kind of games.why even make such a move right now?
