Spacial Sarcasm
Having recently been browsing TF2Outpost for Aus Weapons(I mean, who hasn't) and i have run into a lot of trades where people are buying Australium's such as the scatter and the sniper for a bud or near that range. I know it is ok for people to post that as they can suggest buying stuff for what ever price they want. To me, however, it seems like they are both drawing in people who have just gotten a Aus weapon and who are unfamiliar with the prices and it also seems like reverse scamming. I would really like to see other peoples opinion on this matter

Avenging Flame
People can buy what they want for whatever price they want. If they find a willing seller, then all is fair
Grimes
Its ok as long as they are not MANIPULATING the seller. Read the sharking rules here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/help
Spacial Sarcasm
I know, it just seems unfair to new players who don't know about the actual worth
Avenging Flame
Its the same as anything. Its the sellers job to know the price of what they have. If they don't, then its their own fault if they sell it for below what its worth. This applies to unusuals or any special items in the game
cleverpun
It's true that some people are always willing to take advantage of uninformed players. That's why things like backpack.tf and trade.tf exist, to help inform people

puncheschildren666
isnt this exactly what sir j-j-jon got kicked out of mod status for? except on a smaller scale
FreeZie hc™
isnt this exactly what sir j-j-jon got kicked out of mod status for? except on a smaller scale he was self admitted sharker? sharking and buying/selling/offer are much different, you can buy and sell for whatever you want, just no sharking/scamming. ♠Derpeh♤
I see no issues with it if they arnt manipulating the seller ie telling them that it's worth only a bud. If the seller doesnt do some of their own research before hand then it's their loss, it shouldnt be the buyers job to inform every trader of the price of their item. Though if on a much larger scale eg buying an 10 bud unusual for 20% of it's value i may see issues with it and in that case i would inform the trader that their item is worth a lot more and if they would still want to go through with the trade. Jjon never admitted he sharked anybody. From all the proof given, he never did. He was just a buyer using a script. Who cares?

puddingkip
Not entirely true: Outpost calls it sharking. I don't, and neither does jjon. Buying a houwar at 10 keys can be just a good trade, if both users are happy and no manipulation happened
