Anyone a Lil' concerned about TG Borris and his suggestions?

Ward - MvM Anyone?

I'm sorry I don't know where to put this

But seriously this guy's price suggestions have all been upping the price of his items (that funnily enough, he has a large stock on). I don't know how the f+k you get so many items in one and a half months of your account being created.

Anyway back on topic, it's a little suspicious. While you get guys like 2+2= (4, sorry) who'll do suggestions lowering the price of his items, TG borris does nothing of the sort (and I'm not saying that you SHOULD do it, I'm just saying what about the other items)

It comes off as really funny to me. Especially with items like a Vintage Ghastly gibus, and a vintage pistol thingy.

Or am I getting it wrong? Is price manibulation(:C) when you tell people to make offers and then accept it, then use it as proof (and have the item traded back ?)

He probably is an alt or is putting real money into the game, which can make it easier to buy tons of items like he has.

The only issue I can really see is he is possibly "manipulating" the price by buying up most that hit the market at the current low end, causing people to only be able to buy from those selling at the high end.

Well he wasn't always "poor"

He could do alot of bulk buying or unboxing. It looks like he does a bit of cash trading, from the look of the skips in bp value.

I trust the admins on site and if they thought the prices he suggested fit, then it isnt wrong that he is updating it. Owners of the items make better suggestors than those who dont trade the item.

It couldnt be easy for him to manipulate such common items as someone could with unusuals, and some have been found of price manipulation but those tend to be on unusuals.

which really isn't wrong.....If you want to, and have the funds to do so, then more power to you.

I used to go on the same trade servers as him. He buys up during sales and shit (Paints, etc) and get the stranges of WH. TBH those stranges needed a rise anyway.

I need to reword it when I get the chance.

why should it matter how many of an item one owns anyway?

he can raise the price of an item all he wants, as long as his proof is sufficient, it won't matter how many he owns.

How many of an item a person owns does not mean, and pardon my language, jack shit. I could have 1000000 strange scatterguns and suggest a price for it and how many I own does not mean anything. As long as the proof is sufficient and it supports the range, nothing else matters.

The trouble comes in when somebody frequently identifies out of date prices which are lower than the current market value and then takes advantage of the discrepancy to buy those items before posting price suggestions to raise them.  If their intentions were honorable, they wouldn't wait to put in those price suggestions until they'd already acquired the items in question.

I suppose there's no way to stop people from doing that, though...  and perhaps there shouldn't be.  But it does highlight a problem with experienced traders taking advantage of inexperienced traders who don't know how to value items beyond looking at a price guide and accepting it blindly.
