Vegan T-Rex
So I already have a LAN rig (i3, sub-par mobo), but after seeing what my friends have done in regards to mining, I'm thinking that maybe I should dive into that area. However, i'm incredibly paranoid about my GPU overheating, so i'm going to go ahead and slap one of these onto my 7970 GHz Edition. So here are the final specs for the rig- i'm looking for something that can sit under my TV, while mining fairly quietly. I'll be mining 24h every other day for either doge/lite coins. CPU: Intel Core i3 3240 w/Stock Cooler (Pre-existing) Mobo: MSI B75IA-E33 (Pre-existing) PSU: Cooler Master GX650W (Pre-existing) Case: Cooler Master Elite 130 (Space for a 120mm rad in front) HDD: Hitachi 500GB, SATA 3 (Pre-existing) GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 GHz Edition (Pre-existing)w/Kraken G10+Antec Kuhler 650 H20 (Also investment for longevity of my GPU, and silent gaming in my main rig- I'm going to switch this GPU in between rigs during term times) RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) (Pre-existing) Yeah. So, thoughts? Anything regarding heat restrictions?
Bakgrund
Amd's graphics card can easily do around 80 degrees celsius without any problem at all, i wouldn't worry, just turn up the fan speed if you don't care about the noise-level.' What cooler do you have on your 7970? And i hope you know that you don't win on mining unless you have free electricity.
