Is offering a service in the classifieds allowed?

Hi guys,

I've been looking at the objector classifieds since the last week and noticed that there's 1 person that is always linecutting everybody:

https://backpack.tf/classifieds?item=Conscientious Objector&quality=6&tradable=1&craftable=1&australium=-1&killstreak_tier=0

He's not selling his objector, he's just offering a service. Last week when objectors were priced around 0.61 by most mods, he had a price of 0.55 ref. This week the bots sell price dropped to 0.55 and he dropped his price too - to 0.5 ref. I reported this guy more than 5 times and I don't see any actions against this. So just wanted to confirm here, is it allowed to post such trades, that are not really trades and linecut every other seller?

imo, there's "The seller is refusing to sell this item at the offered price" for a reason and this should not be allowed

You need to provide a screenshot of him declining an offer for an objector at his price. Then you can add that to the report for "The seller is refusing to sell this item at the offered price" right here WNkQSLE.png next to their trade. I'm pretty sure he can use his ad's as a platform for advertising, as long as he is still buying/selling at the given price.

Yep, I did that, I sent him a trade offer for the same objector and he declined it. Can't really prove which objector I choose with the screenshot though. Also when I did that the trade disappeared for a few hours and then reappeared again. Not sure if mods removed it, or he did it himself. Same happened now btw, he (or a mod) closed his previous trade and reposted it at the bots' price - 0.55 ref. Also, as you can see, he put a "Add this user to trade" button on his service trades and "Click to open a trade offer with this user" button on the trades, where he's actually selling the item.

Yes, exactly this guy. I think he had more +reps in his bp.tf trust in the past week, but I guess mods removed them, as they were not related to risky trades.

I'm not fully understanding why you reported someone for basically selling things lower than bots do , doesn't he have the right to sell things for whatever he wants?. i can understand him losing his +rep but why report him? , Do you just have a personal vendetta against him and you don't like him or is it something else?

The whole issue that the op has is the guy isn't actually selling them at the listed price. He's line cutting then selling his service for a higher rate than what he has listed even for the items he's not actually selling.

well if he doesn't sell them for what he has listed , you can just always move on and ignore him. It's really easy but some people aren't able to grasp the concept on moving on

True, maybe not only delivering an object but also providing an additional service. No backpack.tf rule prohibits services within that page. It is true that it devalues the price of some items, but this is for something more than obvious; Who hires him pays for the complete editing service (items and work) and at a price that in my opinion is fine. While it is true, it may be unfair to some users who sell the same object, but it is seen that Yukino is willing to remedy it. They should contact him and find some solution, he did not break any rules.

OK, where to even start from:

1. You obviously broke the rules by declining my trade offer. I know how to select the right objector. You listed this objector: https://backpack.tf/item/5103541869. And it is still in your inventor: http://imgur.com/a/yx75y. I can provide further proof with item ID if a mod decides to step in and see what exactly you listed on classifieds. I don't care if you're providing services if you're not linecutting the other sellers and don't see anything bad at that.

2. Great, you sold an objector to one of your steam buddies: http://imgur.com/a/phEKA, which is not even the one you listed. Also you sent your other steam buddy to defend you here (talking about Peridot, or should I call him Motoko, as his steam name is): http://imgur.com/a/fIPAq.

3. See point 1 - I did send you a trade offer for the right objector and you declined it - http://imgur.com/a/ej5TZ. I sent it from my alt account.

Regarding the stalking, I wouldn't have even noticed you if you weren't line cutting all objectors sellers. I'm seeking for attention from who exactly? The mods, which are anonymously informed when someone reports something and nobody else sees it?

Also I don't mind at all someone selling for less than bots, but I hate it when someone starts playing unfair.

PS: Yukino, why did you suddenly remove all of your classifieds now that this topic appeared?
