Looking for fun recommendations for my next pet

If you're interested in something aquatic, have you heard of axolotls? One of the animal youtubers my gf watches has one and I thought it was fascinating. It's a water dragon O_o

Used to own an axolotl as a really small child. Wouldn't be interested in one again, to be honest. No real reason why

I hate ferrets. My friend's sister has one; ugly little thieves.

What specifically piques your interest other than the traits you mentioned in your original post? I can come up with more stuff if I know what to look for.

 

Some cool animals I saw were these kangaroo looking things called walaroos (Don't think they get as big as kangaroos though)

Macaws, Hedgehogs etc. Hedgehogs are really cool my old buddy use to have one of em.

 

Edit: Roos aren't possible unless you happen to have 2000 extra square feet you're not using.
