How to disable the showing of new items in your inventory upon death?

When you die you get showed all new items in your inventory, is there a way to disable that so it doesn't automatically do that?

It doesn't do that anymore on Valve servers, honestly one of my favorite features of the last update. But yeah, don't think you can stop that on community servers.

When you get the nonification of a a drop just click x and then, when you die it won't show up. Thats the only way, sorry :/ Also some drops only occur when you die or leave a game so theres no way around those types of drops.

Won't stop it from occurring but if the issue is flooding the chat with the items you traded for, you can press ~ (or whatever is binded to open the developer console) twice to open and close it which should cancel the item screen
