A HUD which incorporates backpack.tf pricing

Not sure if this is possible or has been done but I have an idea of a Team Fortress 2 add on which shows you the current price of an item when your mouse hovers over it in your inventory. This would be a quicker way to check the price of your items then having to go straight to the site. Let me know your thoughts and opinions please!

Valve does not own backpack.tf. They are both two separate things, and you have to remember that Team Fortress 2 is not only a trading simulator, but an MMO game as well. Originally, prices were not meant for items in TF2. That was until backpack.tf came and put prices on them. Because of this, it would be illogical of Valve to add a pricing HUD, as there were not meant to be priced items in the first place, just a bartering system. Besides, I'm sure you can download it elsewhere.

On most trade servers you can type "!pc [insert item name here]" and it will show you the price.

I don't think this is quite possible to do yet since a HUD is client-based and would need an update every time a price changes on bp.tf, which is like every few minutes. There's a plugin on some servers that allow you to type the name of the item you want to price check and it'll come up with the price.
