Reputation points?

There's a badge in my backpack.tf profile page called "Good Contributor" and in the the description it says: "This user has 135 reputation points, 65 more points left to upgrade this rank"

 

What are these reputation points and how do you get them?

You basically get these points by voting on price suggestions as well as making them.

1. If you upvote a suggestion and it passes, you get 1 point. If it gets denied, you lose 1 point.

2. Likewise, if you downvote a suggestion and it gets denied, you get 1 point. If it passes, you lose 1 point.

3. If you make a price suggestion and it passes, you gain 10 points. If it gets denied, you lose 5 points. Note that you won't lose any points if you close your suggestion yourself.
