Bakgrund Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 Just saw this on Reddit, thought i shared it here because eveyrone might not check Reddit. http://www.reddit.com/r/tf2trade/comments/1pf01m/psa_the_api_now_shows_chemistry_set_ingredients/ After spending last week writing a scraping tool for chemistry sets, I noticed that 'IEconItems_440/GetPlayerItems/v0001' has been updated to show ingrdients and outputs. In the 'attributes' array: "defindex": 2000-2008 are ingredients/outputs "is_output": true/false (true if output, false if ingredient) "quantity": The number of the item still required "itemdef": The defindex of the ingredient/output "quality": The quality of the ingredient/output "attributes": If output an array with, "defindex" of output, "float_value" containing defindex of the strangifier 'target' item, "value" (unknown) Meaning of this to most people: Trading websites can be updated to show what the chemistry sets require and produce. Backpack viewers can also be updated to show chemistry set ingredients and outputs. Item pricing websites could be updated to show the cost of chemistry set inputs and value of outputs. Already updated backpack.tf's code to support this when it was added a while ago, but haven't published to the live site yet.
