puddingkip Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 So, it's almost Sinterklaas, the most important holiday of the year apart from koninginnedag. Sinterklaas is a Dutch holiday where we give each other gifts and have a great time together. Sinterklaas en de Zwarte Pieten come over to give kids candy and gifts When kids no longer believe in Sinterklaas the family holiday often changes into one that is very similar to Secret Santa. You draw straws and then write a poem for that person. It's really fun (and stressful, everybody starts writing their poems around 10 minutes before they're due and they're all absolutely awful) but it makes for a great holiday. Ultimately, Sinterklaas is about gifts, candy and spending time with your loved ones. Since I can't give you guys candy I'll just give you guys some gifts. Since johnny5 was kind enough to provide me with 210 ref I'll craft 70 ref which I'll give away to the entrants. The only entrance requirement is having 50 posts as of me posting this thread as this is meant to give to the backpack.tf forums and not some randoms. They give candy and gifts to kids. It's poorly formulated and potentially misleading, but not incorrect? Or is my English crap again? I actually had this in one of my old notes on my old comp. Don't know if I wrote it or stole it from somebody idk.... (Dutch) Daar komt sinterklaas, aan met zijn dikke baard, alle kinderen komen eraan, met een glimlach op hun gelaat, zo gaat sinterklaas ertegen aan, met zijn paard en zwarte pieten, gaat hij de pakjes stijd aan, zodat hij kinderen met speculaas kan verrasen, wanneer ze hun schoentje zetten.
