The unusuals of this hat are sooo expensive. Why?

They seem to be the only unusual that has a lower chance of being unboxed, thus they are very rare despite being available in unusual quality for years.

It's because so many Demoknights like to run the GiantDad set. But in reality, they're rare as they're not commonly crafted.

but there are alot of rare unusuals which are'nt that expensive, the Screaming Eagle for example or the Employee of the Mmmph

Those haven't been around nearly as long as the Shaman.  The Shaman has been around for years.  Considering that, there should be many more in existence, suggesting that it does have a lower unusual drop rate than other hats.

Low unbox rate (especially for 1st gen effects, most recent Shaman unboxes are 3rd gen/robo/etc)

As everyone else mentioned, Mask of the Shamans have been around for a long time, and only a select few have been unboxed. Aside from misc hype and all that, it's pretty much why they're so expensive.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. For example, I remember the Nanobalaclava being extremely overvalued due to speculation of it possibly becoming an all-class misc(P Fetti sold for ~70 Keys for crying out loud), but it never ended up happening. Meanwhile, the Industrial Festivizer also had misc hype, but it's prices never seemed to be affected.

In 2014 they did.....that's when Valve turned hats into miscs every couple of months (e.g. Stash, Rack, Pencil Pusher, etc.).   They haven't done that for over a year now though so misc hype is pretty much non-existent now.
