This a great budget gaming keyboard + mouse?

It's a good budget keyboard+mouse combo, but it's not mechanical as has already been said; and it really is a budget option. It's not amazing, but it's decent for the money....Honestly, I would suggest spending more and getting something better -- like $40-60 on a mouse and $70-100~ on a keyboard.

I have this, good for your basic gaming needs. If you want one with more color settings you could save up around $30 more and go for the storm octane instead.

this should really be a last resort.

if you can't etch out another 70+ dollars this'll do you fine but hard telling how long it'll last + it's a membrane keyboard. also you won't get the magical mechanical key switch noise everytime you press a key.

mouse looks ok, if you're a robot.

Basically if you just want a combo you can pick up and play games with this is many times better than getting some random cheap logitech combo at a store. The mouse has 4 buttons and 3 dpi modes. Your only concern is that eventually the wheel may start to squeak, but nothing a bit of oil can't fix. The keyboard itself is pretty good. It's not mechanical by any means but it feels responsive and makes some pretty satisfying clickity clacks when you type.
