So I saw Merrycatch complain about double an then another person complain about gold dick's intention to bump uncraft prices and now we have a ban voting on a dude that no one care. Seriously? This shit ain't funny and should not belong to a forum for normal discussions, not personal attacking.

Personally I think its pretty funny. I mean we are on a forum for a website pricing pixels, if you havent noticed this isnt the most serious website.

Longs point is still valid, Bp.tf forums aren't taken very seriously...

Questionable Threads:

--Random people commenting on Mod applications

--Threads bashing the prospective mods

--Threads bashing current mods/users

--Poll to get a user banned

--Kittens spam thread: "Clevers going to ban me [sic]"

But at the same time, this isn't a forum of a major trading site/server forum, but rather a pc forum (essentially). So mehh, screw taking things seriously?

1. So now random people cant comment?

2. Bashing is needed as well as endorsments, if youve ever seen political elections notice the number of attack ads

3. Valid point and agreed

4. Valid point and agreed

5. So its a spam thread. So what? Dosent have to affect you unless you make it.

1. Go on SOP/MCT/Rawr/Tf2-Trader/OP and comment on an admin application and see what happens. (Usually results in a forum ban after being warned)

2. Mehh, the decision is up to the mods, and bashing the applicants is just rude (and meaningless)

5. Just leads to a messy forum.... (again, would be locked on most other forums)

1. So this is a bit more casual. Thats a nice change for once everyone takes trading way too seriously.

2. Pointless bashing is bad but I mean pointing out flaws in an applicant is a good thing.

5. Maybe it should be moved to great below, I see your point.

1. Random people posting is ok. Random people posting about random stuff, is not. I should stop.

2. bashing needs to be more well defined, like on suggestions, counterproof cannot be ignored.

5. Stuff needs to be in Great Below, agreed.

If you have a problem with a thread report it and a mod will investigate.

I already gave Hugh Jazz a lock/verbal warning for this

I left Kitten's thread open so they would do something stupid and I could have a reason to forum ban them later.

As for commenting on mod applications, I personally think that allowing the community to comment on applications is a good thing: a primary goal of the site is transparency and community input, and while it be more professional to prevent comments it also makes the mod selection process more opaque.

If someone is saying something inflammatory/harassing, then report them.

TL;DR: everyone use the report function more (but only if something warrants it: excessive reports are spam).

I don't consider the thread attacking my dirty hat prices as a personal attack. I welcome any debate over prices. It's the purpose of this site to price items as accurately as possible.

Unusuals aren't traded often enough to price them that precisely. One trade at 3.3 buds does not mean that the price is exactly 3.3 buds. If that unusual was sold 10 times at 3.3 buds, then sure, make it 3.3 buds exactly. It's silly to make it precisely 3.3 buds based on one trade.
