Kuuko-San
the caber like why its actually one of the most useless weapons now ^ I agree with 99% of the changes. The ones I think were stupid are; Caber - Trash Powerjack - so inconsequential Natascha - Broke asf

ϟRai-Raiϟ
I'm glad they nerfed the dead ringer. Ffs. Surviving backstabs is too much. Damn, forgot just how much the old ringer blocked: Also, animated jpg. Neat.

3.50
Most of the changes were good, I think. L&L was meh, but it is still pretty useful--it extends demo's range, and allows targets less time to dodge. Also still wrecks buildings, which is what it always did best. I don't like it as much, but it still's useful. Caber is pointless now. For such a hard nerf, it needs to regenerate its charge, or something. (Seriously. Every other one-shot weapon in the game regenerates. Piss, Mad Milk, Sandviches, etc. The only difference is that the Caber's a melee, but that shouldn't really matter) Oh, and the Enforcer--it's like an Ambassador except for people who can't shot heds, and who also don't want random crits, guaranteed crits, or to shoot quickly. And the Spy-Cicle is a bit OP now. Immunity to afterburn damage for 3.5 lightyears AND can pick up ammo to recharge

Discovery
BFB = deserved it Pocket Pistol = meh Powerjack = meh Dead Ringer = I prefer the CnD anyway L&L = didn't deserved the nerf, but like it's still useful in certain situations RIP CABER
Brian.
Powerjack was unnecessary. The deadringer was also unnecessary in my eyes. It's very good but It was easy to counter imo. BFB deserved it x1000000, fucking hate that weapon. L&L once again deserved it x1000000, It's still overpowered. Caber deserved it as well. Insanely annoying when you're playing sniper, It's still decent-ish anyway as a panic button, which is what it should always be. The Airstrike is a bit op but so is the tomislav and those are fine for me when I play. Next update I want to see the bushwacka nerf removed and put back to 20% fire, the direct hit nerfed and another nerf to hit the vaccinator. Spiritwalker
caber is the only one that's really bad IMO. Machina sadly was indirectly nerfed when they removed damage spread - now you don't have a chance at oneshotting 175HP classes anymore. Edit: overall, I think the removal of damage spread is probably the best change in the entire update.
CourtneyWendysCommercials
Between the Powerjack and Axtinguisher nerfs, the pyro has pretty meh melees now. Both of the pyro's go-to melee weapons have been neutered. Still good, but not great.

Vaccinator is still underpowered. Uber is better, kritz is also better since vaccinator doesn't stop it. Uber>kritz>quick>vacc. They are all situational though, kritz is for surprise aggression. Vaccinator, meh. Quick flash onto a sniper in comp might be something, until the enemy has an uber.
FelixGrief
Mad cuz bad spy. I hardly used the DR. The invis watch was the watch of my choice. I really only used the DR to get past choke-pointy parts of maps. I will say that the damage resistance on the Dead Ringer might have been a bit too much, but not at the "let's cripple the DR" point. Not being able to pick up ammo, using half your cloak to feign, AND the decaying damage resistance decimated the DR. If anything, all the DR needed was a decrease in damage resistance. "hurr u mad cuz u cant play spy XD XD XD XD XD" Think before you post next time, you mong. Spies are arguably THE easiest class to kill. All you needed was to bump into/hit/light/piss on a spy while he was cloaked and he was a gonner. Most spies, let alone most spies that used the DR, are bad and were REALLY obvious. Finding a bad spy isn't hard, especially with the ear-raping that is the DR uncloak noise.

Only difference now is you can't survive 800 damage, which you agreed was retarded. Being perpetually invisible by ammo drops should be a trait only the original should have, and after the update, is. During the initial dead ring, you are immune to bump flicker, and afterburn, making it better than before to get behind pyros without the spycicle. I think besides the damage reduction, the dead ringer is BETTER than before. You get a speed boost, afterburn immunity, and no flicker, all which are key to sneaking behind lines to disrupt. 1 big ammo pack or a stab and you're back to a dead ring. If you die too much with it, you are indeed bad. Jarate and milk are always a spy's weakness no matter what, so don't play that bias.
FelixGrief
Dead ring, run behind base, uncloak by ammo pack. Literally has not changed. To be fair, (full) ammo packs aren't always around. Picking up a small ammo box/sentry debris can be the difference between life and death. Being perpetually invisible by ammo drops should be a trait only the original should have You can still use the C + D to perpetually cloak. Doesn't mean you should though. But I agree, that perpetually cloaking with the DR is stupid. It's also highly unlikely and unpractical, unless a sentry's been destroyed/you're in the middle of No-Man's-Land. A spy that spends a majority of his time cloaked, doing nothing, is a bad spy. The only excuse is a med pick. (And even then, camping in a corner is stupid) During the initial dead ring, you are immune to bump flicker, and afterburn, making it better than before to get behind pyros without the spycicle. This (and the speed boost) are probably the best parts of the new DR. But at this point, the new DR is a completely different watch than the old DR. I think the new DR should be its own watch (with some tweaks, since damage resistance is a bit too low). And get rid of feign death of the new one, since two watches that can feign death is kind of silly. The old DR should be the same as pre-nerf but with a decreased damage reduction. If you die too much with it, you are indeed bad. Jarate and milk are always a spy's weakness no matter what, so don't play that bias. Very true. But my point was only to mention how easily spy could be "disrupted." Also sorry about calling you a mong, I was being hot-headed.
ϟRai-Raiϟ
Snip Here's the reasoning behind the current new damage reduction. Straight from the wiki. Backstabs deal damage equal to 200% of the target's current health and always deal critical hits (increasing the damage to 600% of the target's current health), unless otherwise prevented by a Battalion's Backup. However, a Battalion's Backup will not cause a damage reduction. New dead ringer: Upon activation, the Cloak meter will immediately drop to 50%, and the Spy will receive a 3 second speed boost. During these first 3 seconds of cloak, the Spy takes reduced damage and the cloak will not flicker on contact with enemies or upon being shot. Intitially the Spy takes 65% less damage, this effect is faded over time to normal cloak and 20% damage reduction when 3 seconds has passed. This damage reduction allows the player to survive some massive damage as long as the user has a sufficient amount of Health before the attack was made with exception of fully charged headshots by Snipers, backstabs from enemy Spies, and Taunt kills. During the first 3 seconds of cloak the Spy is immune to afterburn And what it used to be: The Dead Ringer blocks 90% of the damage from the activating hit. This allows you to survive fully charged headshots by Snipers or backstabs from enemy Spies, as long as you have some health. Since backstabs have a base damage of 6 times the victim's current health, and the initial hit that activates the Dead Ringer does 10% damage, causing backstabs to do 6/10 of the victim's current health. They only changed the initial by 25%, and made it fade into normal cloak after 3 seconds. It used to take 6.5 seconds before the damage reduction stopped.
