No, I dropped it last week because I decided to look for new selling items. I choose the diaries.

I tried and tried to sell, got no buyers. I looked closer at what traders were actually buying and selling for. No one was selling, no one was actually buying.

 

Also, I did not make the first drop suggestion.

I did more research and fixed his suggestion a few days at a time.

 

Wait, are you saying the diaries are going to super crash hard this Friday if they do nothing?

So if they do something, I should invest in these things?

At this point I plan on buying 1 diary for 12 keys by maybe tuesday at the most...there's a 14 key seller who's not even able to sell. If he fails, I'm so lowering my 12 key buying price!

If I really wanted these to drop, why would I even counter his suggestion. At this point in time, I could make it a 14 - 15 key since this is the range sellers are actually able to sell for.

if it wasnt for your spam suggestion diaries wouldn't have crash i am sying that ppl shouldn't have the right to suggest a price on the same item more tha 1 time pr month either that is keys buds bills vintages or whatever.

if anyone that wanted to find a new target sell do the same thing you did

then in a year the most expensive item it would be the key and you cant even wear the damn thing.

 

rarities should not be treated as casual items like keys and buds

if so why we value the crafts and the levels?

have you any idea how long you need to wait to sell a #12 or a #58?

and even those are more than the diary.

 

i still think you did what you did for your own personal profit so you can horde some in a more afordable price with less risk of loses.

3 pages of diary sellers, a lot of these sellers have many many in their BP!

If it's really a rare item, why are so many trying to get rid of the dumb thing(including high priced sellers).

They should just all close their trades so there's only a few sellers so it can be considered rare.

At the moment there is no use for them, nor is there any use forseen in the near future. 

Why should anyone listen to anything you have to say? the only times you tried to suggest it was to raise the price of items you own to serve your own selfish needs...

I still dont believe unusuals should/can be priced by just 100% on offers, Offers are too easy to fake. Ive seen many times when people get their friend to leave and "offer" so others would offer slightly higher. Then some suggester tries to price it.

 

Not saying that pricing on offers is invalid but it shouldnt be the ONLY proof.

Yes, this. There are the same amount if blood botkillers per wep as secret diarys (yes you can earn them still I know, but they have a use at least) as secret diarys, and they are all half the price of the diary or under. This is the same for certain genuines, etc. As well, a nuts dread knot is extremely rare compared to the diary ( less than 40 I think?) and only like 10 keys. Rarity means nothing unless it's seriously rare as far as I know (unique aperture labs hard hat, for example), as it's not THAT rare.

And at times like that you have to make a choice, whats better...old (but reliable) sales or current (but not necessarily valid) offers. At times like this a "null" option would be awesome, but at the same time it would also lead to issues....There really is no right or wrong way to handle situations like this :/

The trick is that in this pre-halloween market many unusuals are not selling.  Traders/buyers are waiting.  In a sense it isn't really fair to even price them as all will go for less than they might normally go.

except bptf represents the market right now, not where it should be/normally resides. 

 

obviously this becomes an issue as any special event would push unusuals down, however unusuals usually just sell slower, they don't usually take a big loss because of it. (i.e. people either quicksell or they don't)

The chem sets can't be manipulated. Thier not priced. Yes it appears as if he attempted to manipulate the topi. Good luck with that btw. You are losing credibility in your sale attempt when people see you all over the suggestions for it and an increase in price might actually bring a competitor out as well.

I already have a strange archimedes, I just want another one. Nice attempt at discrediting me. See, only a fool would look for buyouts on a strange archimedes. I've already had adds to sell me chem sets and the bird for way lower than 1 bud, so there's no way I would ever trade anything for yours. It's always far easier to put up a buying trade and wait for the sellers to come to you.

Many traders have done this knowing these would be worth more. Manipulation implies he had the power to effect price in a meaningfull way. There are too many traders that will compete against him and there will be many more types of strangifiers to choose from. Teufort Kickers are also fairly popular with sniper and would be a very good item to be made strange. Hoarding just allows you to ride to stronger profits than earlier sellers.

If anything, none of kristmas' suggestions are wrong, after all, Roller does suggestions like that every 2 days or so, they all get through, because they have PROOF. Nothing else.
