Which Pokemon Generation had the best music?

Gen 3 all the way.

Gen three is my favorite generation for gameplay. But it's music was rather dull. The only themes I like from gen 3 are the surf theme, lilycove/pacifidlog city, ever grande city, and MAYBE the bicycle theme. Oh yeah, and the gym leader theme.

 

Platinum was far better. From platinum, I like routes 201, 209, and 225, the champion theme, the bicycle theme, and Hearthome city.

 

But in general, gen 4's music was more enjoyable than gen 3's. While gen 3 did have a few enjoyable themes, not one was as great as any of my favorites from gen 4.

Gen 4 Giratina music was orgasmic. Like... Actually orgasmic. I listened to it for 5 minutes straight while Giratina was sittin' pretty on the other side of the battle field. With every beat drop my head spun and I found a little creme in my pants.

Easily my most favorite battle theme song ever. Plus, Gen 5 also had remixes for the gym leader + Champion theme songs of the past gens, and most of them are really good.

As much of a diehard gen 4 defender I am, I have to say that gen 2 had the best music. Its simple chiptunes are so calming and memorable, and they top the remixed HGSS versions that didn't pack as much of a punch.

 

 

 

Diamond and Pearl had pretty good music too.

It's been years since I played pokemon but the one that sounded the best to me was gen 2.
