Computer Build

I would try and shell out a little more for a better cpu and hard drive if it's possible, unless you have a budget of $1k.

Not bad. If the 4460 was necessary in order to get a 970 in the build then that's fine, but if you do have the extra bit of money, consider getting the 4690k if you're into overclocking.

(That would also require you to get a z97 motherboard though, so I understand if you couldn't afford it into the budget).

I think you are being a little cheap on the motherboard, the cpu, and the hard drive if you are going to get that video card. I built mine, pretty much just following this

Will that be a problem? Also I don't really care about overclocking and my budget is around $1000

Your CPU & motherboard are fine. You won't see a significant improvement in framerates going to a 'k' and doing overclocking.

Drop the harddrive, just get a 256gb SSD. You won't fill it unless you download a shitload of porn.

That PSU is fine... if it's on sale. It goes on sale for $30-35 pretty often. If it's not that price, it's not worth it. Keep an eye on the CS450M, which is (imo) a nicer unit which provides all the power you need for this and also goes on sale for $30 pretty often.

That monitor is overpriced, there are plenty of good 60hz 1080p panels for $100-$120.

GPU is overpriced, there are other 970's in the $300 or less range.

The hard drive is honestly fine. I use the Seagate and have had no issues so far. Works well, plenty of space and loads relatively fast, so long as you're not the type to get picky over occasionally waiting a couple seconds. If you'd rather have an SSD (or both) I'd say go for it, but if you just want to use the HDD you won't have many issues.

Don't really care about overpriced or whatnot, this GPU fits my preferences. Also transfering a 250 GB SSD on my current laptop to the new computer.

I have an unlimited bankroll so spending $100-200 more is fine ^^

Here's what I would personally be getting:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($41.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 390 8GB PCS+ Video Card  ($314.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($78.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($44.99 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Acer H236HLbid 60Hz 23.0" Monitor  ($130.99 @ Best Buy)
Mouse: Logitech G502 Wired Optical Mouse  ($58.29 @ Amazon)
Total: $1013.17
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you'd prefer to go for a 970, then go for it, but the two pretty much trade blows -- the difference being that the 970 is a bit more expensive but is quite more efficient.

For the mouse, if you're really set on a Deathadder, then go for it, but I will never suggest or support going with any Razer product since pretty much after 2013 everything they make has gone to complete shit in terms of quality and, unfortunately, it's just as expensive as everything else. So my suggestion would be: Logitech G502 (or really anything in the G series), Mionix Naos/Avior 7000, or Corsair M45.

P.s. the CX750 for $60 is a pretty good choice if you may want to throw in a second GPU in the future (although that would also require a better board).

how big is the NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case? I heard its huge

Also I bought warranty for the deathadder, I'd prefer something short and simple like it. Don't really like the Logitech.

1 more thing is that i switched the acer for a benq monitor

The S340 is a mid tower....so I mean, it's not really big.....but I guess it depends on how you define huge -- but it's not any bigger than most ATX cases (but as I chose an mATX board you could technically go for a smaller case, I just happen to like the S340 :)).

Your funeral.

The one thing I would suggest is go for an IPS monitor rather than TN. The colors are more vivid making it look much nicer.

P.s. the CX500 (pretty much on par with the EVGA B1 500) has a $20 MIR -- so it's the same price as the EVGA before the MIR, but you'll get $20 back in the form of a $20 pre-paid debit card.
