Will Banks Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 yeah this is a really common question but after the latest patch (yesterday night) tf2 will start and when it gets to the source logo screen it crashes and this pops up: im assuming its a patch bug and it'll be fixed soon but anyone know of a fix? edit 7/10/15: I reinstalled it and it works fine now, thanks for all the rpelies guys!
Hawko Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Definitely one of your scripts acting up I'd verify the game's cache first. Fixes alot of problems like this.

TheVenomWith1n Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 im not technical at all, whats that mean? sorry I think he means it's one of your autoexec scripts messing up or some shit like that. To verify it's cache, right click on team fortress 2 in the steam library, press properties, go to Local Files and press Verify integrity of game cache
New Bee Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If you haven't tampered with your tf2_misc_dir.vpk file, I'm assuming one of your downloaded custom mods is now out of date Try uninstalling all mods to see if it helps.
HarryG Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 But tf2 is running in the background of that picture, so how could it have crashed.
