His kind attitude and desire to stop Shao Kahn (at least before he got possessed), along with his badass smoke abilities, make him an overall awesome character. He didn't have much of a personality way back in the original games but that first Mortal Kombat film gave him a really great personality that translated into the newer games. Just loved Ermac's character design and shit, his souls ability, and his saying; "We are many, you are but one!" is a beautiful quote from him.
