Economy going down

Hi,

thank you that you have clicked on the link this discussion is about that the economy is going down

and what WE can do against it.By the time this topic goes up the key price on the community marked

is even higher as on the mann-co store.

And that is what totally pisses me off.

The greedy tf2 trading community is  breaking its own spine.

Whats basically happening right now is an inflation and we have to stop this.

Thank you for your attention,

Bayne.

Keys went up on the market because valve equalized pricing. Before, keys were much cheaper in russia/brazil and those two countries were actually the source of a lot of the keys in the market.

Secondly, the economy is fine, only those who live in the past and refuse to move forward are struggling.

Mann co prices used to be higher didn't they?

The problem is keeping everything balanced across global economies isn't practical, and will never really happen. Thats like being surprised that Russian bought games end up being cheaper than America/European bought games.

> nobody can afford keys anymore

Any fucker with $2.35 and a debit/credit card/paypal/whatever can afford a key.  They can probably afford 2-3 keys for the price of a McDonalds meal.

This is just my opinion but I dont think even 50 percent of the tf2 players have a credit card or whatever.

Anyone whos at least 17 (aka the minimum age to play tf2) will have access to a credit card, whether it be a real credit card or a prepaid one they picked up from the super market.

And even people under 17 can easily go to the store and buy a pre-paid credit card. There really is no one who doesnt have access to a credit card.

then don't buy them.  that's how capitalism works.  those sellers have no effect on the market.

this game is rated m..

saying keys shouldnt go up because people <17 dont have credit cards (and cant afford keys) is like saying we shouldnt curse because there are also children who play who dont/shouldnt be cursing.

Yes but you just have to put in an age above 17 and your good to download and play it.

Not my point at all.

The game was meant for 17 year olds, not 12 year olds. Thats like saying Politicians should dumb down their speeches so a 5 year old could understand them, thats simply not the intended audience. TF2 is intended for players who are 17 years old or older, not younger. Additionally, trading is not a required part of the game.

And why should this apply just to keys? Shouldn't a Burning Team Captain also only be like a key? I mean its not fair to be so expensive since most people can't afford it. I suggest all unusuals be one key this way players could actually afford them.

#SavetheTF2UnusualTeamCaptains

You can't afford to trade? You can't afford a credit card? Tough...just play the game then and don't trade. Trading is a privilege not a right, stop treating it like one.

Question, is GTA/CoD getting rid of the violence/blood/language/bad ideas? --No, they're not. So why should TF2 be any different.

I´m saying just that kids that days play everything the want.

But they're not the intended target audience, therefore the game should NOT be designed to suit their needs.

By the way, this thread could not be more incorrect. The reason for the inflation is that more buyers can afford expensive goods. The in game economy is improving. People couldn't sell keys for 5.88-6 ref if the average buyer could not afford that price.

EDIT: lol, the change of meaning when you forget two letters. Fixed. TL:DR: You're wrong, you have no idea what you're talking about.
