Or was that plan shot down? We call it Flemish but it isn't recognised as an official language and it's still considered a southern dialect of Dutch. Okay, but back on topic, I am Dutch, and do not speak with a dialect as my dialect (South-Holland) became the official, standardised language because we were the rich and influential area.
