Beggars

Beggars, we've all seen them. They're those annoying 12 year olds, usually found on trade servers, screaming for free stuff. They jump to a whole new level of annoying when they add you to beg.

This kid added me today- http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198125524830/

As you can see, he doesn't exactly need to beg, but I have no doubt that the items in his bp were almost certainly begged.

Anyways, this is how our conversation went- http://i.imgur.com/meYQEBj.png

How do you feel about beggars?

They're pretty damn annoying

I don't get very many adds from them 'cause I'm not that rich, but when they do add me I find it's best just to ignore them

gib key pls

Clearly the large amount of impoverished players in TF2 means that the economy is broken. Instead of a pure free market, Valve should switch to a socialist system where they limit trading to 10 trades a month but give everyone 10 ref a month. That way, every trader will have some wealth, be equal to each other, and the TF2 government can focus on larger social issues, such as gun control and foreign policy.

Can't wait for the Socialist Utopia update!

you see beggars on the streets, it is no different.

Its very different. Beggars on the streets NEED things. Beggars in tf2 are just annoying people who want things.

I'm sure the beggar on the street NEEDS my money to buy beer and cigarettes. That's what they do here all the time, surely that must be necessary for their survival. Right?

I just hate the ones on trade severs that ask for free keys because they want to open a crate. Or that they ask for spare things.

I once begged on a Trade Server just for fun...

I ended up with 3 Keys in items

Xx_$$$Pr0f1t$$$_xX

your worse than me. I was on a vs Saxton hale x10 sever. And a player thought I had some chronic disease as he saw that I was 17 but have a high pitched voice. He added me and asked if there was anything he could do for me. I asked for his BP, he asked for want I wanted, I told him that I wanted is lime green painted ninja set. He traded me and gave to me for free.

Nice stereotype.

I don't see them very often(even though I go to trade servers often).

But if I met one, I'd just ignore/block them.

Beggars in the streets? They are much different from tf2 beggars. TF2 beggars are usually 14 year old kids who just want some items because they ain't got money on steam. but some beggars on the streets actually need help, not all of them are the " I need money to buy drugs" type of beggar.

And then you got permabanned on their servers.

Thanks to me.

I've never run into one before.

But if I did, I would pretend to give them my entire bp, confirm the trade, and then cancel it from email just to sike them.

I have run in to them a lot on trade servers when I advertise that I am selling unusuals, they trade me asking for free stuff since I am "so rich"

Got this offer around a day ago, couldn't do much other than laugh (and block him).

I have a long time friend on my list that got marked for fraud after they ran from a spycrab over a key that's constantly asking me for items, naturally I decline. ;)

When I get the occasional limited item (My Strange Bread Bites, and my Antarctic Research when it was still over a key), if I head onto a trade server within a matter of seconds I see the old "!bp Link" and feel like I might get a trade.

Then some 12 year old with a limited account but a higher backpack value than me starts begging for my researcher. Some dude tried giving me a 6 ref strange (Can't remember which one, but it was six ref at time of offer) for my 1 key Bread Bites, and when I turned him down he votekicked me for scamming.

It sucks though. There are people with a higher BP value than me who got it entirely from begging, sharking, and more begging. I've dropped $100+ into this game. It's sad that this is possible.
