Keroro1454 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 The site associated with the remake of Black Mesa: Source has recently changed to appear as a local broadcast warning, sending out a message that an unknown disaster has occured at the Black Mesa facilities, and that those in the surrounding area must evacuate. The link: http://bmrf.us/(I swear its not a phisher link) HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIRMED??? Probably not. Gaben is a master troll.
lucak Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 but black mesa is not an oficial by valve o_o what does that have to do with hl3?
Tactical Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Black mesa is community remake BUT it could have to do something with HL3 :OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
krawtch Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 maybe its to announce they are actually finishing the rest of that remake
Hatrix Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Really, Valve would be smarter to not make HL3 at this point. There's so much hype for it, no matter what they did, it wouldn't live up to the name of Half-Life 3.

Hatrix Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 You never know. They did release EotL, and look how crappy that was. They don't care about TF2 anymore, you do know that, right? They haven't released an item that was Valve-made for a long time. They literally have given the game to the community. The community is who's making the game shitty. They care enough to keep the balance of weapons to keep the game playable. That's all. I'd like to see Valve release a new game in general. An entirely new game. Not a 2, or a 3, or 4, or episode 2. Entirely new shiny game.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................Didn't we get atcual new weapons for the smissmas update?
Hatrix Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................... Didn't we get atcual new weapons for the smissmas update? You know it's incredibly easy to do that? Re-texture here and there, then load the light bulb model onto the weapon model, ctrl + c ctrl + v 20 times, position them, bam done. I'm talking about a legit new item, a new weapon, a new cosmetic, something new.

Best faggot NA kappa Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 hnnng but they suck so bad The new gamemode really really reminds me of Quake DM. I feel like they're trying to bring back their roots. ^^ Exactly what I thought lol Also whats up with the hype of HL3, you just play as an Insane man who runs around and beats infected shit with a crowbar. 8)

But valve was the one who butchered the Eotl update taking one of the most anticipated community update into a cash cow and then turning around to stab McVinnie by taking out the weapons/maps and releasing new weapons a few weeks later. Whilst valve has shown signs of letting to community run some things (Cosmetics, workshop...etc) they have yet to show the community they are willing to listen and try to legitimately improve the game beyond mere cosmetics which can generate immediate income for them. If valve did actually hand over the game to the community we wouldn't have so many bugs and glitches many which have been patched years ago by the community, heck the tf2 competitive community sent the devs multiple patches yet the have elected to ignore it letting the same bugs plague the game... not to mention the many game mods which the community has made, the mvm update is technically from a mod which was made years ago by the community. TL;DR Valve doesnt care for the community or what we think unless it can generate immediate income for them. Keeping on topic valve doesnt make games anymore, they realised that selling other people's shit and having talented users who are passionate about gaming do their actual work.
