Metal Daniel
Hello my name is MetalDan, I am the age of 14 years old, and I acted foolishly, I got tricked into a scam by the user of andyn. http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197984212648 This mate is not a real steam employee and hacked his way into one of the most infamous scammers of the tf2 community. I have 2 stories, My story and a friend's story, I was looking to trade a 12 bud item yet no one was buying until one guy popped up on my friend invites, I accepted and chat with him and claimed to be a steam employee, My brother was with me and my brother said no yet I chose to say yes, That was the most stupidest mistake of my life, he stole an unusual that was worth over 428 dollars and I was scammed. http://imgur.com/pDh4FaH I never got the money and he removed me and blocked me. then we have my friends story, his story is similar to mine. https://steamcommunity.com/app/440/discussions/0/627456486855099591/ and this was a mere hour ago. So all we both ask is of 2 things, Report this man of scamming, and always block him. and if anyone claims they are valve employees, Please Do not trust them. Now if you'll excuse me I will now take a break of steam for a year. Because this has literally put me in a depression...

Liddojunior
I don't understand what you mean he hacked. Well valve employees have a special badge & is stated on SR You sure it wasn't an impersonator. Go to your history to see who it really was, hard to believe someone recognized by SR as a valve employee scamming/hijacking And make an SR report on the account you traded with If you don't want to be scammed. Be careful is the only thing that prevents it Use SR middlemen Check rep Do not use given links of SR , get them on your own And use common sense no one with .2 hours is going to pay $$$$ via PayPal for unusual
ENDED
good job you fell for one of the most obvious scams how does that even happen?
Vrakos Anthrakir
the steam rep profile says he was marked as a valve employee 925 days ago. that's more than 3 years ago :u is he even still a valve employee? and aside from that, you sure it wasn't an impersonator? also you or your friend should be the one to file a steam rep report since you two were the victims :u thanks for the tip I guess though, but obvious scam is obvious as a side note, you're pulling the value of the unusual out of nowhere. it's also not a limited time effect as you claim in a steam profile comment

TurboNEET
Write a ticket to steam support. If you've been scammed by an employee you might get your item back because valve want to keep it's good reputation. I'm not even kidding, it might work. >implying valve had a good reputation

gone_
So you completely ignored the warning which says that you don't get shit if nothing is in the trade window? You know, the warning you'll always get when someone sends you a tradeoffer with one (or more) of your items but none of theirs... http://www.mediafire.com/view/nq2r3rhy7x6ok08/ss%20(2015-01-02%20at%2001.50.55).png I would still like to know how he did that on SR+. Jomarcenter
I cannot confirm if he is still a valve employee or not and I do know that all valve employee must have the profile public since to verify if it real or not is by a special "valve badge" in steam that only their staff were given and removed when they resigned or fired while retaining their levels.
