A lot of people don't do that while playing standard team fortress 2. To tell if it's gifted, look at the unusual and see "Gifted by: GayFucktardDickmunchPornshit696969XXX" Honestly, gifted is less than duped because you can't firectly tell its duped unless you do research. And even then some people are morons because they don't do research and expect less for duped hats when they charge more for their duped hats cause they didn't realize it was duped. The Name on the Hat was Actually Pootis the Sniper which is not as bad as GayFucktardDickmunchPornshit696969XXX I Traded it now for a Clean Unusual that is worth slightly less. Why is everyone pissing themselves about gift tags and saying that unusuals are worth less then duped once just because they are gifted? Does that 3 Words in the Description really matter? I dont Understand why the Tf2 Community is like this. I mean i have a pretty low Tier Hat with Kill-A-Watt Effect and everyone is offering me like 8 keys for it just because it is gifted!? Even DUPED Hat`s get higher offers because not everyone is able to look up the History... It's Still the damn same hat with the same effect. Some Lucky Person Unboxed it and i payed enough for it. Sorry but that is surely Stupid.. It's like buying something rare in real life that has written a small name on the bottom where no one can see it... Well it is just a Virtual Item so why are People so mad about Gift Tags? I'm sure 99% of the TF2 community agrees when I say, gifted is a million times worse than duped. You're acting like duped is worse than being gifted, when it literally is "still the damn same hat with the same effect". Duped is short for duplicated. Definition of duplicated: a copy exactly like an original (source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/duplicated?s=t ) A gifted hat is not the same hat because it has an extra tag. A better example than the porsche is buying a couch that someone has spray painted and graffitied all over (in trading, this is basically what it is, it's that noticeable and obvious). You have 0% chance of getting that spray paint off, it's still 100% usable. You either decide to live with it or pony up and get a couch without the graffiti. Will people value this couch less than a couch without graffiti, definitely.
