Battleship with my brother.

There are better ways to go about playing Battleship than "go down every line until I find something!"

I am aware.

Usually, it's diagonal.

Eh, we weren't playing for competition. He just wanted to play and I obliged. I placed my ships in a horrible position so that this thing could be over as fast as possible.

And so it was.

For the lines, it was because I was bored. It's something habitual, and I don't play any game for competition. (unless it's King of Tokyo and Coup, man those things get intense.)

[i challenge the fact that you have an assassin! (intensity increases) *challenged slowly looks at his cards and prepares to reveal one of them*]

When I played Battleship, I always cheated. Same with a lot of board games I played with my family. I guess that's why no one will play Monopoly with me ;-;

I played a lot of board games when I was younger, but people stopped playing board games with me because I was always such a manipulative bastard.

I think my highlight was in a 6 player game of Risk, where I was the weakest player on the board, with only a couple territories in South America, but I managed to convince my neighbors that it wasn't worth eliminating me because it'd make them too vulnerable. Soon, the two players to the north nearly wiped each other out, and that's when I struck. I traded in a risk card set, and my massive army surged north, eliminating one player. I then had to trade in another Risk card set because I had too many cards. With those reinforcements, I eliminated the other northward player and got to trade in a third set, which I used to reinforce my borders. In one turn, I had gone from weakest player to juggernaut straddling the entire western hemisphere. Needless to say, the rest of the players didn't last much longer.
