Any way to do this? I want to be able to have 100ms ping on eu servers compared to the 40 i ususally get - I have played so much on US servers that is is easier for me to snipe for example

inb4 download porn (net is too fast)

inb4 us proxy (effort and can't route just steam thru - also 200 ping is not 100)

preferably a command cl_ something

thx

It won't affect your ping at all, but maybe look into the cl_interp command. You might be able to get the effect you want using that.

thank you for decent response

i have looked into cl_interp but not fully yet, will investigate further

Yes, I realize this is really late, but is this even an ethical thing? I mean, it's harder to hit someone who is lagging a lot of times.

What? There is a difference between lag/stutter and just an extra 50ms delay on all actions.

Could you please enlighten me then? The delay of actions is what makes people who are lagging harder to hit, as this usually comes with a delay on reactions

Do you see players with 100 ping lagging all over? You don't, normally.

Not sure what kind of game you play, but 100 ping players usually have a good degree of lag on servers I play on.
