IRC - Client Startup

For those of you who are using a client for the chat, there are some helpful commands and settings that make your live easier.

 

First of all, get an IRC-Client like http://hexchat.org/ . Install it and create an account on https://gamesurge.net/ .

 

When you start the client set up your network list like this: http://gyazo.com/83ec0bb1c964e1a761e1e5013978bf4d

- Choose your names

- Select the network you want (since you already should have an account on gamesurge.net you should use that )

- Click on edit

- Mark auto connect

- Add "#backpack.tf" to your favourite channels (you will auto-connect to them)

- Enter as connect command "/authserv auth (your username) (your password)"

 

Now, when you start the client you will be automatically connected to the bp.tf chat without doing anything and you can use it as every other messenger like skype, lol.^^

Of course there is a lot more you could do with an IRC - Client, but this should be enough as a start (PS: I don't know much more. )
