ivor Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Since we don't have one, here's our Grand Theft Auto thread. I put GTA V in the poll so people can vote after it comes out, which will surely be soon. Right, guys? Right? ...guys?
ThatOtherChigga #Mack Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I own GTA 4 and have played it twice. That was a waste of money.
Jymotion Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I own GTA 4 and have played it twice. That was a waste of money. I have yet to install it. Damn Steam sales.
ivor Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 I own GTA 4 and have played it twice. That was a waste of money. I didn't like it. It was too depressing, my old computer couldn't run it well, and it had all that Rockstar Games Social Club/Games for Windows Live bullshit that marked the beginning of MS's decline.
Karam Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I own GTA 4 and have played it twice. That was a waste of money. Same here except, it was a waste of keys :c
Christley </3 Peelz Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 idk why people have such a hate on gta 4. comparing other games, its without doubt one of the best games out there. im gonna say a tie between san andreas and 4. loved the story in both. felt like you really were a part of it. but overall, ive had very fun with both of the games. ive been too lazy to install dlcs for gta 4 though, and apperently gay tony was better than the main story so im thrilled whenever i feel i get time to do it
Scott Bakula Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 idk why people have such a hate on gta 4. comparing other games, its without doubt one of the best games out there. I'd say the two biggest reasons were the steering the story away from over the top & wild and wacky to angsty grimdarkness and the fact that you had to constantly babysit Roman and your other contacts.

Yeah, there's none of that 'NIKO MY COUSIN LETS GO BOWLING!' bullshit in SA. Except for that one point in time where Cesar incessantly calls you about the drug runners.
cleverpun Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 My brother owned GTA 4. I really couldn't get into it. There was too much busywork, the combat was really slow to get going, and giving all the main characters accents made everything very hard to follow, even with subtitles. I don't object to plot, but GTA is not a series I play for plot.
