So, I'm not allowed to join the team till 2014 (september), but do you guys think I would make a good mod? And what can I improve to make myself more likely to get accepted later

1. Stop worrying about rep.

2. Help noobs on suggestions like posting how to make a good suggestion. http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/792-how-to-make-a-good-suggestion-bullet-points-version/

3. If a noob makes a good price with no proof, help em, that's what mods do.

4. More suggestions.

5. More voting.

6. More time of forums

7. Don't befriend current mods.

9. Don't smoke weed, it is bad for you.

10. Read numbers carefully, you don't want to flub up.

Do not friend mods as an attempt to have a better standing with them in order to be a moderator yourself. The more you converse with mods; the more chance you have of saying something you'll regret. I don't mind having nearly all of them as my friends, though, I don't think cleverpun will be voting for me to be a moderator any time soon ;)

The mods do our best to be objective about potential candidates. Being friends with them won't help or hurt your application.
