So how are we gonna research if there's a scammer/shark on SCM now?

Recommended Posts

tl;dr version - you can't see steam profiles from SCM sellers now.

I never bought any unusuals or now intend 2, but what will happen with the users who do?

you are free to spend your cash on SCM is volvo approved.

People that where banned for scm purchases must now get unbanned.

I enjoy those new features a lot today.the private bp for newbies should have been implement year back.as for the scm keeping our transactions private just level it up from 9 to 10++++ for me.

how can you even get scammed/sharked on scm

You can't get scammed/sharked on S.C.M

The only way you can get sharked/scammed if the scammer/sharker adds you then manipulates you and then finally tells you to put the item on S.C.M to specific price...For example...An unusual worth $200 for $20.

Doesn't Work. Avatars are stored using a hash. There isn't anything related to the steam profile ID or name on the page source.

example: my avatar http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/avatars/ae/ae299861a6abadf29edd385e5b940a515a36ad2d.jpg

I'm trying to wrap my head around why it was in the best interest of the community to not show the person selling the item. I mean, isn't this then like walking blindfolded into any store near your house to buy groceries? Like hey, I need to by a gallon of milk. I know you sell the milk I want, but when you take my cash I'll have no idea where it's going. Just encourages the e-terrorists that are going to now keep scamming and can get away with it even easier.

At least for us non-morally dubious traders, this means it's absolutely certain that we can't knowingly buy from scammers on the SCM just by trading on the SCM.

It's now almost impossible, unless chatlogs or shown or something, to get a ban for SCM trading now.

Edit:you cant find it as it seems :)

they might as well remove the sellers info of any Kind.

I usually don't care whom I buy from as long as it is cheaper.

after all it serves little for any of us.just to get a random add and save 5-8%of the funds you want for an item doesn't worth the advertisement at all.

community must revalue their duped is cheaper issue now.

At least now it's impossible to get a ban by buying scammed items as we don't even know completely
