F CHARLIE
@Charlie, I'm fine with what I have and it perfectly fits 3/4 of my main classes (Medic, Pyro, Demo, looks terrible on soldier though) and I couldn't care less about the look as long as I have swag and I can get shitload of money for a bunhc of pixels, I think you'll have to agree with me here. I'm trying to quit trading and that's why I started buying stranges that I really wnat to play with. Agreed, if that works for you. My opinion is that unusuals r about looks and appearance. Same reason people buy good clothes. For most players than it would be about how many styles you could role out with, agree? I also slowed down on trading to play more and focus on trading in unusuals. I even found myself paying regular price for some stranges. And im happy about that pure is much better then waiting for some unusual to sell Your Avatar so fits you.
F CHARLIE
2 to 60 buds is a v good, but im more curious on how those large value jumps occur I remember him mentioning something about transacting in collectable lvl items. If done well it could account for big jumps. I saw that too but I don't believe Crabislav sharks or scams. Wanna buy my SF pyro set? well, two stranges. but it is cheaper than bp.tf prices by a bit. How did a trade offer get in here? Crap.

F CHARLIE
Update: I have sold 8 or so Unusuals all for profit. My current stock of 3 Unusuals is a steaming steel shako, orb planets sensie and a kill a wat lead bonkwear. I have recenctly felt that there has been a signicant drop in sales of everything. Its very hard to get pure for everything from unies to craft hats. Anyone have the same expierience?

But the cheap 12 key ones get pure all the time That's the range I am now working with. Two - three weeks ago I didn't see this problem. Is this related to summer crates and summer game sale? I have noticed a massive increase in phishing posts. What is that about?
Gamer Tom
I have noticed a massive increase in phishing posts. What is that about? There is a large uncrating event and many inexperienced players (that don't know about phishing) are posting their unusuals to outpost so when they see a person willing to pay b/o they will automatically click the link and think it's legit. I've noticed that this happens more often to non-donators on outpost as I've rarely gotten any phishing attempts.

I've noticed that this happens more often to non-donators on outpost as I've rarely gotten any phishing attempts. I got like 10+ phishing links in only two days on my trades (one example: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12926137 ). It's really sad that so many get hijacked, there should be like an extra warning somewhere or anything like that. My unusual trading career was basically buying my current dream hats, wait a few months and sell them for more than what I paid. I made some bad trades though but I got lucky recently and sold my hats for pure and found some quicksells. I am still far away from getting equal on tf2 because I unboxed too many crates when I was a noob years ago.
F CHARLIE
1. I have a orb fire tossle and it is not getting good interest. Mine is the lowest priced one of many available. I believe this will needs a price suggestion to drop it. Thoughts? 2. There r so many high priced hats that do not move at that price. How can it be argued that many hats now lack the demand that once set thier high price?

How can it be argued that many hats now lack the demand that once set thier high price? Richfags cash out, WAY more effects to chose from (when there used to be like 3 good effects there are like 10 now). So if you want a hat with a good effect there's more to chose from. Why pay 30 buds more for an effect you like equally much? So people don't get really high offers anymore, which were caused by competition for that ONE good effect to be on the market than for the
F CHARLIE
Than a lot of hats need to come down to realistic demand levels. Since traders don't want to admit losses and new owners don't want drop the value of thier hst it will be dificult.

Seeing as the roboactive effect one goes for around 2.5 buds and it's a similar tier effect but many people seem to prefer the roboactive/phosphorous

FayBee
I bought an earbud, bought Orbiting fire Rimmed Raincatcher thinking it was actually 1.5-2 buds (thanks a lot outdated price check websites). I spent a month trying to sell it, until someone nice offered me a 1:1 with his Steaming Scotch Bonnet. Then I met some really nice unusual trader who had a Steaming Defiant Spartan (worth 4 keys more than steaming scotch), he really wanted my unusual and i had no problem taking his for 1:1. The next day, I met someone again on a random trade website, he was a big fan of the soldier and was really desperate to buy my steaming defiant, eventually we settled with 22 keys + festive rocket launcher. Even though I had some ups and downs with unusual, It was a nice experience, but I regret wasting that earbud in the first place. Please note that an Earbud at the time was alot more than 22 keys

polar
Opinions please. Anyone else regret their unusual choice? I did not post this for traders actually. It was posted for eventual buyers who usually end up quickselling for much less than what they paid. It is good to see how traders look at this type of trading. I've done both - trade hats with the intent of keeping and trading - and have had good luck with both. 5 months ago I had built up a stormy storm collection with the thought of being done trading once I collected them all. And we all know that weather effects are going down, so this probably wasn't the wisest collection. I paid for almost every single hat in pure keys. After a while, I decided I had enough resources to start a sunbeams collection, so I sold them and ended up selling those hats for ~30% higher than what I paid for them. How? I was wise about what to pay for them and got great discounts for paying in pure. A few weeks ago I had built up a decent beams collection. I had some of those hats for a while (beams samur-eye, drill, and nappers for 3-4 months). In fact, my account was hijacked and two of them got duped AFTER I bought them. So again, I thought I'd lose a decent amount in value from what I paid. But I actually sold them at full value for a beams tc (a solid ~48-50 in value) and sold the tc in 10 minutes for ~55-58 in value). So I made significant profit even on that collection. Now I'm working on a moon collection. We'll see how that turns out... Obviously, just based on trading, unusuals are incredibly profitable. So I'm not really gonna talk about that. Woifi The Viking
---selling hats you like---- Hehehe. I made profit with my dream hats because I kept them some months and they rose in price. And I got lucky on my peace and scorching ke. But I will not make profit on my scorching grimme, that's impossible.~

Gone
You know what? I bought an unusual a top tier one and through trading and selling I cashed it out to a person my latest unusual. Got my money I used to buy my first unusual back and with the extra money, I used to get an unusual which I traded for a helmet without a home stormy 13th hour. So basically I got my current unusual for free.
F CHARLIE
I hav, up till now, quickbought baby unusuals for flipping. It has gone well but I have noticed a major slowing in sales recently. Whats the history on this? Sadly, why can't I get what I want of my Terrorwatt Heavy Rag?
