Basically (all IMO) someone started shooting rockets and the other side responded. Now Israel have like top-of-the-range guns from USA and basically shot a load of rockets at hospitals and shit and Israeli spokesmen are saying that Hamas are using humans as a shield. Now everyone's angry because Israel don't give a toss who they are shooting any more.

There were protest from the palastian side and a the cousin of the murdered 15 year old was beaten brutally by irsaeli cops. Then Hamas fired rockets into Israel but Israel iron dome protected them from most rockets.israel responded with their barrage of rocket fire and this time, a lot of civilians died as a result because the Israelis targeted palastian cities. More rockets from both sides and then irsael launched a ground offensive and a offensive to destroy Hamas tunnels. The USA doesn't think Israel is right.  Quite frankly, they don't care about who's right or wrong.  It's just who they can control, and they can control Israel whereas they can't control Palestine.  I don't think it was ever about right or wrong.

Basically heres how it stands from an impartial canadian standpoint:

 

Isreal has decided hamas (gaza) is bad, and is shooting at them with missiles and bombing them and the like.

Hamas has dug tunnels under isreal's border, and is shooting missiles at them.

Personally, i think both sides are bad, because hamas is aiming for civillians, but im fundamentally opposed to isreal because its a country based off religion, and many palistinian civillians are dead.

What happened is that:

 

2 Palestinians kidnapped 3 israeli teens

2 weeks the army searched them in the west bank. almost all the israelis hoped and prayed to find them alive

after those 2 weeks of searching, their dead bodies were founded

lots of israelis was angry on the arabs, because they belived that those teens are alive, and it was very shocking to know that they were actually dead.

1 arab kid in jerusalem were burned to death by few israelis as a revenge.

arabs started to make riots in east jerusalem and their arab cities and hamas did started to shoot rockets for that their kid were killed

after a week or two of rocket shooting, IDF started the operation as a resopnse.

Long story short, the Hamas terrorist organization in Palestine (gaza strip), is firing hundreds upon hundreds of rockets into Israel every day for the sole reason that they believe the land should belong to them.

 

And just to get some things cleared up, Israel has attempted to talk Hamas into signing a cease fire 3 times, and before Israel sends bombs any location, they call the residents and directors of the area and tell them to evacuate, 3 times!

 

Israel has also stated that the second Hamas stops firing rockets, this all stops. Israel is only defending itself, and it has every right to defend it's people from a terrorist threat. Hamas deliberately orders the people to stay around the missiles they plant in churches, homes, and schools, so that when Israel is forced to bomb them, Hamas can send news to media outlets and get people to sympathize with them, claiming that Hamas is the one under attack, when in reality the Palestinians are effectively being killed by their own leaders, on purpose.

 

EDIT: Just wanna throw out that Israel is completely legal by bombing those areas, under no war agreement anywhere, and even the Geneva Convention agreement stated that Urban Warfare is allowed so long as you don't DELIBERATELY target civilians, Israel only bombs the locations of confirmed weapons staches and locations where rockets are being fired from. Collateral damage, as harsh as the word is, is the consequence of war, an equally harsh and terrible thing.

Israel is by far not a terrorist state... many companies like Intel and telephone giants have their headquarters in Tel-Aviv, it's an amazing, beautiful country.
