Having a bit of trouble using the site, trying to track down a hat.

Hi, so, I've been trying to track down a Cloudy Moon Anger, since i want to be the Sniper other Snipers want to be.

 

I'm having a bit of trouble using the website, or maybe the functions I want don't exist at all, but here's what I've figured out.

Here is the list of all the people on the site who have the hat. On has a trade ban, and one is account banned, which leaves three. Of those three, one hasn't been online in almost two weeks. One has a listing for the hat on Outpost (here,) but the other is apparantly online right now.

 

Basically, in the most roundabout way possible, I have to ask: How in the world do you send a PM through backpack.tf? I've scanned across probably the whole webpage but I have no idea.

I sent a friend request to all 3 via Steam, but no one has come online so far.

 

Also, by-the-by, what should I offer for the hat?

I'm not sure if you mean Steam or if Steamer is some sort of communication program I don't know about.

To the OP, you can't send pms through backpack.tf itself, you can send them through the forums, but only if the user has made an account here.

 

My suggestion would be to just be patient and wait for them to come online.

Hello, how are ya? 

 

~ You can't send PM through Backpack.tf only through backpack forums which is what you are using right now and they need to have an account here on the forums to get PM.

 

~ You have to add them via steam and wait for them to reply to your add

 

~ Try around 25 - 26 buds for it.

I had another question since I don't want to clutter the forum.

 

In the TC's unusual list (and basically any unusual list,) there's a lot of hats at the bottom and right that aren't numbered. Is this because there hasn't been a transaction yet for them, or are they actually considered worth less than something like the Blazing Flame's TC?

If there's no price it hasn't had a suggestion yet. A hat needs to have at least one, or sometimes 2 documented sales to be priced.

Edit: Also, when looking at the list of all the users who have an item, what does "original" mean?

That would be a good place to ask.

 

And "Original" means if the item still has the original ID, meaning the person unboxed it.

Yes use this thread and the status update (Status updates are shown at the right hand side of the forums homepage).  The other question has been answered by Grolton

yeah, they unboxed it themselves and haven't traded it away since they unboxed it.

I know my ~300 hours isn't much considering people have like, 4,000, but that doesn't mean it's little.

He's either rich or using stolen credit cards, either way he's not going to be selling the hats for pure so he's using whatever wealth (legitimate or illegitimate) he has to improve his status in TF2.
