How to price suggest on my hat?

I have a one of a kind hat so therefore there is no current price suggestion in the backpack.tf database. It seems that it would be bad etiquette to suggest a price on my hat due to conflict of interest. 

 

I know about 2 years ago I found a post where someone had suggested a price on it but due to my lack of knowledge on this system I was unable to figure out if it went anywhere from there. 

 

 

In my situation is it a good or bad idea to have my hat "apraised" or should I find a way to sell it without it being on the backpack.tf price check? 

 

Basically looking to sell it but all I've gotten so far are mostly people that want to hold it and broker it and I cannot go that route. The hat in question has a 1 trade history from unboxer to me and is from what I can tell the only 1 around. 

 

 

Any direction here would be greatly appreciated.

It seems like you are the only one who has this unusual. Until or unless you sell this hat, nobody will ever to price it, of course if someone else unboxes the same unusual with same effect and sales it that is, otherwise for now, not possible to price this unusual until you sale yours.

only sales within the past 2 months are valid, and you cant use offers to solely price it

its gonna have to stay unpriced until you sell/another is unboxed :/

You can do 3 months with rarer unusuals

 I think in this case another one will not be unboxed. It's been 2 Halloweens since and I do not believe the effects were released in either case. 

 

The older Halloween effects are rereleased. However, because they keep adding more effects and hats to the unusual pool, the chance of another being uncrated becomes smaller and smaller. I did the math in another topic, and the odds of getting a specific unusual in a halloween event is about 1/4675, and that's assuming the effects have equal odds.

what about if the hat has sold once since it was unboxed in the last year?

 

 

I'm pretty sure you could price on that sale, but the sale would be really rather high I feel.  

 

 

But yeah, might just have to wait till you sell it.
