Draco Blaze
So for Christmas I got a new computer...... so my mom could use the Oculus Rift she bought for herself. The problem is the graphics card isn't really up to snuff and I now need to upgrade it out of pocket. I'm looking for ones that will work well with the Rift. I'm fine paying the $300-$400 and even a little beyond that if the case can be made, but cheaper is probably better. PC I got: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXIVR8020A4-Desktop-i5-7400-7200RPM/dp/B0747W15QL/ref=lp_8588811011_1_5/140-6758504-4122138?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1514314958&sr=1-5 Everything else is up to par, just the graphics card needs to be upgraded. Any suggestions?
The Walking Wingull
well damn if a 580 isnt enough you'd probably want a 1070 or even a 1080. you might also be able to cross fire another 580 with the current one to save some money but id research that a bit before you do it. Yeah, I was looking into a 1070. The issue with the 580 is it stutters too much with the Oculus in even the normal menu. I'd rather single card it over crossfiring. The Walking Wingull
Pretty much anything like the 1070 or above would be fine. i don't think you could go wrong with the 1070 but for that extra fidelity going with a 1070ti, 1080 or 1080ti would be really good too. you could also wait til nvidia launches their new cards in a few months. Wish I could, but my mom wants to play on her Oculus before New Years.
