Dappers Topper in my inventory (Stormy 13th Hour) and I was added by this user here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/TranWithWayne/. He offered me 240 pure (10 keys above the current offer that I have) and said he needed to see whether or not my unusual was duped. He asked me to get a trusted friend online and trade the unusual to that trusted friend. I did so and then he said he would check. He then proceeded to impersonate me and send my friend a trade offer. At this point, I was very skeptical that the trade was real so I told my friend that I will NOT send any trade offers whatsoever (we were in a call together). Soon after I said that the fake account that http://steamcommunity.com/id/TranWithWayne/ created sent my friend a trade offer for my unusual. I was unable to get screenshots of this due to me exiting out of the chat and blocking him, however if you take a look at his profile not only is his profile private, but so is his inventory and he is also VAC banned. I highly recommend you AVOID this user in your future of trading. I have actually just realized while writing this entire topic that the scammer that tried to take my unusual was actually an IMPERSONATOR of the actual Wayne http://steamcommunity.com/id/TrainWithWayne. So the difference is this http://steamcommunity.com/id/TrainWithWayne is the real one and this http://steamcommunity.com/id/TranWithWayne/. is the fake one (one has train and one has tran) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

eXuberant Posted September 9, 2017 Share Posted September 9, 2017 User is already marked , and idk why people keep posting about already marked ones , if you see a new scamming method then post it here or if you know someone who is scamming or attempts to post a -rep on his backpack.tf profile and report him. I doubt that any forumn user would fall to this as most of us here are aware of all scam methods and are generally more active then the rest of the trading community. Why would he stop scamming?
