I use around 1-2 hours on 1 profile pic, depends. My Steam name is "Jamais Vu", profile picture is the same as i have on this bp.tf forums user. I prefer using poses where it showcases hats and miscs, not weapons. Some examples of my work; Kind of low res, because i use it currently as profile picture.
