apollothelion
So I need a laptop. I was going to use it for some videogames, and obviously college shit. And eventually work shit. And just as a laptop that won't make me hate it and I can use it for a few years. This is the one I was looking at. Keep in mind I haven't had a laptop in a while, so I'm a nub. If you can suggest something better, then please do let me know, but I don't want to go over 750$ preferably since moneys. ѕιи
Wokath
Buy a cheap laptop that is light for all your school needs. Then buy yourself a desktop with all your remaining money just for gaming.
AwesomeMcCoolName
I can't really help very much in terms of laptop suggestions -- I can recommend what kind of specs you should aim for (if you list what games/other demanding tasks), but that's about all I can help with in terms of specifics. 8 minutes ago, Wokath said: Buy a cheap laptop that is light for all your school needs. If this is an option then I would highly consider it (depending on the budget and the games you want to play), but I also (personally) can't stand using a cheap/low end laptop (especially since I'm on my laptop 90% of the time). I already have a desktop, but I don't plan to take it with me to school. So I wanted a laptop for school, that I could play like some game if I so wanted to. Kevin the Chicken God
I recently made a thread with needs similar to this: https://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/60362-choosing-a-laptop/ ended up getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/K501UW-AB78-15-6-inch-Full-HD-Gaming-Glacier/dp/B01DT49XN8/ , it has been able to do whatever I've needed of it and can run games as demanding as pubg decently Axle Change

More like shitty quality overwatch. Since I do have the desktop that I can come back to in the future. So basically I am looking for like Shitty quality overwatch, shitty quality tf2, discord, word stuff for like typing essays for school, and browsing twitch and other websites. I don't really want to spend around 1000$ because I'd just come back to my desktop, so looking for on the lowest range possible because at the end of the day, I would probably just buy a shitty 300$ laptop and get netflix for entertainment purposes. That is just my train of thought. Not looking for high quality, or able to run pubg.

For doing stuff like running overwatch you should narrow your search down to laptops with i5 cpus (i3 would work but I wouldn't recommend it) and at least 8 gb ram. I would highly recommend getting a laptop with a SSD if you plan on keeping it, however you can get laptops which met the previous marks for ~$100-$200 cheaper if you replace the SSD with HDD. If you're really on a budget you can get laptops with i3 for ~$350 though
