Listing buy orders before keys are tradable.

So I'm planning on placing a buy order for an unusual. I have the keys to pay but they won't be tradable until 29 June 2017. Is it illegal to place a buy order before my keys become tradable?

Honestly, this should be fine. The problem is, what will probably happen is that if you make a buy order for a certain amount of keys, then then buy order will be hidden until you have sufficient currency. 

 

For instance, if you have 10 tradable keys and 30 more in untradable keys, then you could list buy orders up to 10 keys without it be hidden (meaning buy listings from 0-10 keys are unaffected). 

 

But it if you put a buy order for more than 10 keys, than no one would be able to see your buy order until those keys become tradable.

The buy order will be hidden from the classifieds the next time you load your backpack, as it doesn't count untradable keys.

 

It used to count tradable keys, but that got fixed, as people found it to be an annoyance (which I can agree with)
