cleverpun
Suggestions are not an appropriate place to voice opinions, they are not a soapbox, and they are not an appropriate place to stage stunts masquerading as "experiments" or "tests." Suggestions which are spam are a bannable offense, and these suggestions are spam, even if they are pretending otherwise. Suggestions which intentionally do not present information clearly are a waste of moderator and voter time. I let Hugh Jazz and double0me slide, and I sincerely regret it. I set a bad precedent by not banning them, and I have corrected that mistake by banning the latest imma-make-a-point suggester. Anyone who pulls a similar stunt in the future will also receive a ban. The admin team is always willing to listen to your opinions and suggestions; that is why we have forums.
MC22
What if I conduct a test and price it correctly with proof? I think I did once, got accepted. But I forgot what I was testing
cleverpun
What if I conduct a test and price it correctly with proof? I think I did once, got accepted. But I forgot what I was testing If you "disguise" something so well that it gets past the mods, then it ceases to be a stunt, doesn't it? You are welcome to observe trends in the way suggestions work, or to use them to gather information, but making a suggestion solely for that is a waste of time for everyone involved. Distinctively Vincent
I remember now. Vincent told me that raising the price on a coupe would be luck to get above 70% So, I raised the price of a coupe by like 5 keys. 73% upvote XD I was wondering how that one would turn out, having just made that comment and then getting a coupe suggestion. Didn't realized I had inspired it. I had, of course, generalized with a number pulled out of nowhere. My point was just generally that bringing up hats regarded as bad will typically see far more downvotes that it would deserve, even with the most ironcast of proofs. Hugh Jazz
Sadly though, my one and only test did not help some of the people in the community. They still seem to be biased against the blue star or those who have higher rep. I was really hoping it worked. Nothing we can do but ignore them I guess. cleverpun
Banned? He doesn't seem to be. Brad unbanned him. I can guarantee most other users won't get the same courtesy, however. The G What ™
For clarification, we can't do stuff like this? http://backpack.tf/vote/id/524b005e4cd7b8086f8b456b I wasn't doing it to "send a message" I just figured that if voters aren't actually going to open and read the proof they deserve to run the risk of losing points on them when the proof is actually there. Bringing this up because it's similar to Caberman's Borscht Belt one.

Bringing this up because it's similar to Caberman's Borscht Belt one. If your proof involves any mind games or false leads then it doesn't belong in a suggestion. Its the voter's job to check the proof and the suggester's job to be as straightforward as possible

That is nowhere near as misleading as for example mine is (you can still read the proof in the small window). Yes I actually made an account here just to post on this topic. EDIT: misunderstanding. Its the voter's job to check the proof and the suggester's job to be as straightforward as possible I get the point yet my argument here http://backpack.tf/vote/id/524d6d994dd7b8cd4b8b4568 still kinda stands (its further down below). Also tons of users are not doing their job everyday by voting without looking @ the suggestion and when someone who makes a solid suggestion (with legit proof) doens't he gets immediatly a warning/punishment? I have to say that I don't agree on that.

I have to say that I don't agree on that. The mods are considering ways to encourage more precise voting. Like this. Punishing users for voting poorly is counter-intuitive in a dozen different ways. Warning people for making bad suggestions is not. And as my original post hinted at, you are not the first to bend the system this particular way. I actually did, but I thought it was one of the trades outpost wiped some time ago (yes there was an error causing trades in a specific time to dissapear). Maybe it was a little naive to consider this the same "making a point" as mine but don't throw around claims which you can't proof (I checked the first 3). Caberman
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/525164724dd7b8a15a8b4569 yep. I can understand that punishing lazy voters may be counter-intuitive but I clearly STATED that there is proof in the thumbnail, thus not trying to trick anyone. I would just love to hear the reason for this ban (not crying though, I kinda provoked didn't I). I can't even respond to the counter-proof now. Turns out I had all the time the wrong link here (idiot) got the right one now
