S T E W
Hey guys, so this past Saturday, my gpu went out. It was a Radeon HD 7870 2gb GHz edition, which isn't that great. I'm looking for a good replacement card for 350$ and under. I really do not want to get a RX 580, so any Nvidia suggestions would be appreciated. Currently looking at a GTX 1060 Strix from Asus. Haxor Gaming
The 1060 Strix is only 300. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126114&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Video+Card+-+Nvidia-_-N82E16814126114&gclid=CjwKEAjwu4_JBRDpgs2RwsCbt1MSJABOY8anUHnWqoyRhX3rLQchzfUWSFGn3jZY0mlMaEn6sMg8exoCQx7w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Diceyy
The RX 480 tri-fan with 8gb GDDR5 is only 260 https://www.amazon.com/PowerColor-480-DL-DVI-D-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B01JGQBSV8/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495540444&sr=1-2&keywords=rx+
AwesomeMcCoolName
The cheapest dual fan 6gb 1060 you can find (or the 8gb 580 because both AMD/Nvidia are about on par in terms of driver headaches/GPU issues).
Lib3l
Why not the RX580 over the 1060? They're pretty much the same in performance with the RX outperforming in DX12/Vulcan.

Literally checked everything but it was the card. Why not the RX580 over the 1060? They're pretty much the same in performance with the RX outperforming in DX12/Vulcan. Also, the same reason as stated above.

Very much so this. AMD and Nvidia are about on par these days in terms of problematic software/hardware.
