A few months ago, a thread was made to ask the forum on which candidate they'd vote.

These were the results:

kkeBGSH.pngI was wondering if people still feel the same. It's been 3 months since Trump is in the office. Is he doing a good job so far? If you had the chance to revote, who would you vote on? Would your vote still remain the same?

as in the previous thread, votes are anonymous.

Curious to ask - are these the only two options then? heh

Yeah I decided to put just those 2 in, since they both got way more votes than other potential candidates. I wanted to see if the average opinion has changed since the last thread which was also about trump vs clinton.

"I heard hillary..."

No-one wants war with Russia, it's a ridiculous idea

Well many people claimed (especially trump voters) that Hillary would be more likely to cause a possible war. Due to the fact that he blames Russia for a lot of things (hacking, spying, rigging elections etc). However, it's actually Trump that's now bombing Putin's allies (Syrian government). Although I don't think we'll have to worry obout a world war with Russia, since nobody wants that, I do think it's a false statement that Clinton would be more likely to cause a war, especially with the recent situations developing around Syria and how Trump is responding to it.

Is he doing a good job so far?

I dunno anyone who's willing/able to put a case together he's doing a good job.
  • Trumpcare? Real nice effort, Deutsch-bag!
  • Travel ban 1? Bonk!
  • Travel ban 2? Repeat after me: mhmm-mhmm-mhmm I'm dead!'
  • The Great Wall? Boink!
  • ... but at least a Fence? Nope. say goodbye to ya kneecaps, chucklehead!
  • That budget proposal that "Compassionately" cuts meels on wheels? Yo, batter up!
Not to mention the continous trips to "The Winter Whitehouse", costing the tax payers nearly as much per month as Obama in a year? Oh dere's my ball!

He seems to be doing a good job in the "he didn't burn the house down yet" kinda way

Semi-good job???? You're joking right? He's been a complete disaster from the start. The number of executive orders removing policies intended to help everyday Americans is startling, not to mention all the environmental rollbacks he's done to hurt things like forests, animals, streams, and do nothing to combat global warming. He's already 3 months in the worst president in US history. Anybody who says Hillary is more corrupt isn't doing a very good job of paying attention either.

if you set your expectations that low he looks like a bloody saint, of course he hasn't nuked anyone. he never will and anyone who thought that is crazy.

he is shit and people should not let him off easy because they had unrealistic ideas about what he would do.

Honestly, people defending Trump saying things like 'well, we're not at war with Russia' or 'he hasn't nuked anyone' is pretty fucking sad, since there's nothing positive to say. The only good thing he's done is remove the TPP, but compared to everything else, it's nothing. He has brought the country so far back in just a few months.

not american but would still of voted jill stein, they're both scumbags

Jill Stein believes that wifi causes cancer and that vaccines cause autism. Scientific progress would've rolled back under her, perhaps even more than Trump. On top of that, she's not even a socialist - not sure why so many Bernie supporters flocked to her afterwards. She's basically your crazy aunt that you wouldn't want running the country IMO, and like Green candidates in the past, all she managed to do was make life worse for the Dems.

And the thing is, TPP would have stalled and died in Congress with or without Trump's intervention. His one positive achievement was out of his hands anyways.

I don't know what a future with President Hillary would have looked like, but while it would have had some concerns (as do all candidacies), things wouldn't be this bad. War with Syria was probably inevitable (my biggest complaint with Hillary is that she's a hawk instead of an antiwar activist like liberals should be), but launching 59 missiles at an airfield as a surprise attack is the most irresponsible way to do it. Not to mention the budget cuts that won't even reduce the debt, because all the money we save by gutting the EPA and other organizations will go right back into military spending.

I'm a proud product of the US public school system, and as such I'm a pretty big advocate for education reform, which requires strongly reinvesting in public education. Hillary's always been a big supporter of these programs, so I gladly placed my vote for her last November (and in the last forum poll!)

So I'm absolutely crushed to see Trump nominate Betsy Devos as Education Secretary. She's never worked with public schools and possibly never even stepped in one. She wants to defund public schools and give vouchers to private ones, which will leave poor students trapped in deteriorating abandoned public systems, as they're unable to afford private, vouchers or not. We need to pay teachers better and make sure schools are safe positive environments, not destroy them and then paint them as hellholes that must be escaped from. So that's my personal stake in things.

TL;DR Fuck Trump, fuck Betsy DeVos, fuck Jill Stein to some degree, and y'all in the US better vote in the 2018 midterms.

Quick google search shows those where started via rumour and lack of context:

I'm not saying she should be president, but as a socdem myself she seems the most reasonable 3rd choice.

What we see is that Hillary was not guilty of any of the crimes leveled against her.  Trump has done nothing to bring her to court and neither has any republican.  She has no popular support so I don't see people coming to defend her if she was brought to court.  With all the accusations shouldn't we see her being arrested already.  Republicans control everything so....   The truth is that she was innocent of all the hyped up allegations all along (since the 90's) or at least can not be convicted for any of it.  This is not true of Trump and his many settlements in court.  The worst thing you can say is that she is "establishment" and took big money campaign contributions (which is destructively legal in the US).  That's it.

Instead we have the most corrupt, laziest and least intelligent person to have ever been granted the position of President of the United States.  Our only saving grace is how lazy he is.  If he were more ambitious he might make himself a dictator and end this joke of a democracy (let that idea bounce around in your head for awhile, a reactionary, unintelligent, dictator in charge of the US).

Proof?

By what metric?

Corrupt? the Great Example of a corruption in politics, Watergate, was "only" Nixon spying on his opposition. Using (or trying to use, if you beleave Trump Jr) a foreign country to do the same, is peanuts compared to that.

Laziest? How much time has he spend golfing?
Least Intelligent? Have you read "the direct words of the president" (to quote Sean Spicer) - his tweets?

While undoubtably, you can try to argue the inability to proof he's the worst amongst compared to each and every one of the previous presisdents in U.S. history -- that doesn't change the fact that in each and everyone of those three categories, he ranks ranks quite in the direction of the negative side.

If all there is to say is, "oh, but maybe he's the second worst instead of the absolute worst. you can't prove he's the absolute worst! " we truely have become a sad society.
