Seems like manipulation by trading between either alts or friends

Manipulators should only get 4 month bans max.

I was looking at his suggestion last night (didnt check much into it) then i remembered Murderer here and trying to increase his hats before along with what i thought were his "friends"

i sent a report to outpost a while back, and as well I do believe they are hijackers of some sort, many hats after being hijacked go through them and their alts. check the scorching headwarmer for example, and i just saw a couple other ones when i was making some suggestion

 

but either way its obvious they are manipulating, and they do deserve a ban

Too lazy too look into it that late at night. :S

sir jjon or you i dont remember who, banned all the alts for a week on the nickel suggestion. you already said they were alts of each other too :P

One of the sales started from Darwin then moved to Zavgara and then murderer my guess is no?

 

Seems like another alt has been added to the manipulation circle :L

 

Thats like 3+ sales which have moved from darwin to murdered (Ignoring white huntsman/ requiem/Zavgara in between) Not to mention alot of his other unusuals are the same.

If there's a user trading to an alt and using that as proof, that's not only bannable, but should be steamrep mark worthy!

Likely not legit at all.

the first trade does seem to be, mcb hasn't done anything shady that ive seen, bought a miami boa for cash recently also. the second sale i think might be faked

Remember, it is harder for him to find legit proof than to fabricate. Also, legit proof will likely not help him. It is more likely to be a new alt/friend.

Overall, this was an interesting bust. Congratulations to the people who caught him.

 

In hindsight, I especially like how cooperative those trades always were.

How come you publish users ip-adresses? Don't backpack.tf think about the integrity/privacy of the users?

 

Don't take me wrong, i don't like price manipulators but publishing users ip-adresses feels unprofessional.

Has outpost banned them for false offers?

Dont think anyone has reported it to outpost? Or the report was lost in the many reports that outpost gets daily :S

In a perfect world, simply referring to this thread would be a sufficient report. I've definitely seen people (and got one) permanently banned for using secondary accounts to make fake offers.

Im currently working on about 10+ steamrep reports for the trader which lead me to a whole network of hijackers. (http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/56324 this guy trades regularly with hijackers) Taking slightly longer as im currently busy unfortunately.

 

Someone please feel free to get BSOD here and or do the report for steam rep for this one/alts :)
