SKINARENA.COM IS NOT THE SCAM! STOP CONFUSING SKINARENA.COM (LEGIT SITE) WITH SKIN-ARENA.NET GUYS!

So basically I was just hanging out around CSGORumble, not that I was intending to play or anything, I just wanted to watch pots and see how they go.

Then this guy here added me: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198111912114/

He said that he was a mod at skin-arena.net and could make anyone win, already a bit off because the name's taken from a famous site, the original SkinArena.com

And then he predicted EVERY single win. I couldn't believe my eyes. And then he told me he could give me 100% wins if I gave him a cut of 10%. That was already very, very, very bad sounding.

Then I checked the different bots that the site was connected to, and all of them were private. The whole staff's inventories were private: http://skin-arena.net/support

Not a red flag, right?

Then I asked him to give me a link of some of the pot winners so I can verify their backpacks to see if they really won the items or not - he told me he was unable to do so. As a mod he didn't have the powers to do so. Yeah, not fucking suspicious at all.

And then he asked me to deposited my knife and P90. Not a red flag either, right? The funny thing was, when I check the pot histories, there wasn't ever a knife in the pot: http://skin-arena.net/history

I was asking around the chat to see if anyone would send me their Steam link at all - nobody even noticed me - not like this was all set up, right?

Site reputation: http://www.scamadviser.com/is-skin-arena.net-a-fake-site.html

Either this is a perfectly staged website, or either it is scamming its members badly.

He ALSO even sent me a screenshot of his staff panel; winners were not chosen randomly but by the click of a button: http://prntscr.com/adw834

Then he seemed to have discovered that I was being a bit smart so I quickly became the stupid guy again who wanted to bet to stall his time.

Just enough time for me to gather the screenshots and make everyone aware of this

List of all shitlords involved in this scam, whether a staged website or doing a daylight robbery to people who actually wanted to bet for the sake of it (screenshot of whole staff will be uploaded)

Do I need anything more to make a SteamRep report?

Or am I really just a stupid paranoid person and this site is totally legit? Let me know?

There's no such thing as a legit CSGO gambling site. Underage gambling is a crime in most countries. A kid somewhere is losing $100 right now on some CSGO gambling site, but it's okay because it's only virtual goods right? Legit gambling sites require proof of identity/age and this should really be no different. The day will come when these sites are taken down, and the owners will face the very real prospect of jail time.

All of this is independent of the fact that the owners can shut up shop whenever they want and keep your skins. I don't advise using these websites at all, if you want to gamble, use proper gambling websites instead of contributing to the profits of the standard, get-rich-quick CSGO gambling site owner.

I agree that they can close at any-time, but I don't agree on the rest, very few things (in the grand scheme of actions) are illegal world-wide, and gambling sites that don't use real money to gamble are not illegal world-wide, therefore most of these sites are hosted on servers in countries that it is legal (everything is legal unless stated illegal).

Also, when the gambling is not done with real money there is no need for identification or proof of anything, this has been going on for years with bitcoin, and it is perfectly legal, so most cs:go gambling sites are legal. (Once again taking in account they have servers in other countries).

So no, they won't face jail time.

Either way, don't gamble the money you can't loose, the people using these sites aren't much better than the owners

This is now a common scam going around. They just copy paste popular gambling sites and when caught they just switch urls

Too much detective work btw :P

I meant gambling on matches.

why are you bringing in that when 1) you're wrong anyway and 2) it's betting, it's all stupid.

if anything actual comp matches are much safer bets because lounge is kinda shitty but at least has no real interest in losing business to competitors/losing a ton of free income. whereas a random betting site just set up where you play normal casino style games or whatever except with cs skins is much much more shady and easy to scam with.
