Stupid question, but how to you make a suggestion for items that don't have a price yet?  The only method I'm used to is looking up the item in the search bar/spreadsheet and clicking on it for the item info, but items without prices don't appear there.

You have to manually look for the item through someone's backpack (taking their Steam ID, putting it on backpack.tf, and looking at the Item Information) or follow a link through someone else's suggestion on that same item.

Got it, thanks.  This can be closed now.

Every item has a unique URL related to it. You can ask someone else for the formula/pattern for constructing said URL, I'm blanking on it atm

Say you wanted to price a map stamps unusual deadliest duckling.

948 is the duckling number didx or whatnot

5 is the type. 0 normal 1 genuine 2 rarity2 3 vint 4 rarity3 5 unusual 6 unique 600 uncraft 7 community 8 valve 9 self made 10 customized 11 strange 12 completed 13 haunted 14 tobor

20 is the effect, map stamps. 1 Particle1 2 flying bits 13 burning flames 14 scorching etc

same with classifieds and stuff

Another way that I think is even easier is to go to the owner's backpack. Click on the item. Go to View Item Information. At the top, replace the url part for "stats" with "vote."

For example, this guy has a green black hole ballcap - http://backpack.tf/id/76561198051688597

Click on it. Go to View Item Information.

That will take you here: http://backpack.tf/stats/617/5/71

Change that to http://backpack.tf/vote/617/5/71

And there you have it. Works for any item.

Wow, that's actually a really neat system, I've gotta remember that.  Is it exclusive to backpack.tf?

I think that's just how valve saves it's data.

No one ever tells me what the hell Completed, Customized, or Tobor is.

I know Tobor is Robot backwards. It was probably in the files as a little teaser for the MvM update.
