Thoughts on having an Unusual Suggesting Competition?

Im thinking of hosting a week long competition with prizes for the people that have the most accepted unusual suggestions

 

What I need to know:

-Your opinions

-The likelihood of people participating

-About how the much the prize pool should be(/Prizes for 1st-10th place)

-Maybe other things i havent thought of yet.

 

What I am thinking:

-The rule for entering would probably be like a screenshot of current accepted suggestions(for unusuals) once u give the screenshot, you have entered. When the competition has ended you screenshot the amount of accepted unusual suggestions, so i can determine the winner.

-There are pros and cons:

-Pros: Many more suggestions done/many more unusual updates

-Cons: Quantity>Quality suggestions, Spam

 

Only catch is that I will be gone for 2 months starting from around the 13th of june. If the competition ends after that date I need someone to look at all the participants and tell me the 1st-10th place winners.

It would happen after d0's weekend pricing event. Event might teach some people to suggest.

And i would prefer it that if people were going to spam suggestions. They might as well have learnt from d0's event first. So that the spammed suggestions are legit and can be accepted

-Your opinions - Low suggestion quality. Plus, there are hard af unusuals to suggest and there are easy peasy ones, just like there are these suggestions Kodorin etc make with just 1 seller just for rpwhoring [eg most collectors as there are so many KS's]

-Cons: Quantity>Quality suggestions, Spam - Yep. The mods will get overflowed with more or less terrible suggestions.

As said. People should suggest because they want not because they want to win some keys.

 This will reflect in the suggestions.

ATM, the active ppl who daily suggest unusuals like the job and help out the community very well.

While such an event is going, so many would just make it for profit.

That'd make suggesting, something that somewhat relaxes me personally, to some kind of the same as trading:

Profit, profit, profit.

Wish to not have the event related with contest(s) & "have as many suggestions up as possible" or something like that - it's a cool idea, but I don't think it'll be very successful in the end. Not just will the people stress out and make some error's/miss sales on suggestions, other sites/mad bp.tf trolls will argue about this for sure. Not to mention mods might stock up with tons of suggestions already. If any similar contest-ish, unofficial in the forums, or post as many "possible valid sales" in the Unusual Request thread or something that'll might work - but doubt that have much interest.
