Viaduct is a hosting service (PaaS) offering both paid and free vps instances. Their free tier is actually quite good and is all you need to host backpack.tf Automatic. You get 1 GB of disk space and 10 GB of bandwidth every month, which is more than enough. Creating an account doesn't even require a credit card, making it accessible to everyone.
First, make sure Automatic works on your PC. Viaduct will need your login details, and it's easier to do this locally.

Unfortunately I don't think it got quite enough interest, so I'm proposing something slightly different, more in the spirit of challenges of the week (is that still a thing?): Every now and then (maybe every week, maybe less,) I would release a list of unusuals I feel should be updated using backpack.tf/calculator, probably on this blog. A passed suggestion would level up a special
People will be able to request price updates on any item, but Unusuals in particular. Interested suggesters can take the bounty and make the suggestion. If it passes, they will be paid the reward set. A request with a higher bounty could be created for a set of items which a suggester would have to tackle. In case of competition in such a request set, the reward is split.
Let me know what you think. If there are interested funders and/or suggesters I might work out the idea further.

Let me get this straight first off. I'm an avid user of scrap.tf, but I do really appreciate the services they offer. Offloading 12 weapons for some metal or buying a game for cheap (because let's face it, dispenser is awful now) are really nice. But that's really all I use.
The thought behind scrap.tf's pricing is based off of the convenience. They buy for low prices (quickbuying) and then sell for market price (well, if their prices are updated...) In a time where there are many competing
With keys hitting 20 ref, it's almost time for 7 crafts per key, at 21 ref. For a while it's been possible to get 7 crafts per key by buying cosmetics at 1.33 each, 2.66 per craft, which is obviously significantly cheaper (11%, big deal if you're gambling). However, is crafting worth it? For fun, absolutely. But for profit? In order to answer this question we'll need the prices for every hat in the game. Good thing we have backpack.tf!
Well, it may soon be time for the metal apocalypse. Eith
Back in the 'good old days', when keys were 2.66 refined, all was bad. Keys were too expensive! Fast-forward to 2015 Q1, keys are 19 refined, all is bad. People have always complained about the price of keys. But are they rightfully doing so?
In 2012 (and earlier), keys sold for about 2.33 (2.66 later) refined and no more. Refined sold for about $0.40 PayPal, and keys were $1.20. This was because of carders, people who use stolen credit cards and launder money. In the TF2 economy, carders bo

Welcome to Budget Loadouts! This is a blogging series where I will feature a budget loadout (3 cosmetic items, not including action item or weapons) for a specific class. A budget loadout is a loadout whose total suggested value by backpack.tf is lesser than or equal to a key, at the time of writing.
Paint might also be featured occasionally, if so, I consider its value to be half of the suggested value on backpack.tf of the paint can.

I decided to blog this first before making a post in order to hear some initial feedback (rfc, or request for comments).
Newly added items have trouble getting an initial price, especially now with the removal of trade.tf's 'closed trades'. That's because they require sellers, and unlike with some items where buyers are sufficient because their value is outdated (which are easy suggestions, btw), it can be a real pain and a time consuming mess to find some quality proof. To make things worse
